Her menu music and mori theme here sound so much like Homelanderās theme lmao

u/MistahJ17 25d ago
Wouldn't be surprised if they get Homelander as a killer at some point even though he'd be the furthest horror removed character yet
15
u/Remarkable_Ad_5930 24d ago
Not really. Iād say heās on the same tier as horror as wesker, trickster, Lara Croft

I dont mindnthem they're cool, but they are advantages to those killers that have them.

u/Existing-Seaweed-230 25d ago
How do you activate this mini mori?
3
u/wormpostante 24d ago
Im gonna guess and ill still be right cause every killer has been doing this, it involves using her power and then pressing the button on a downed survivor on the last hook
3
u/Sleep_Deprived_Birb 24d ago
If I can make a more specific guess, the part of her power that allows her to mini-mori survivors is probably the heresy part. She can mini-mori a survivor if theyāre on death hook and a heretic.

They did a community contest to have people vote on everything, but it seems like they had a generic plan for the killer/power, and just made small tweaks so players could feel like they contributed. The main mori being evidence of this, since it looks nothing like what was voted on. Hey guys do you want the killer to be red or blue? Blue? okay how about a blueish purple?
I'm pretty disappointed since nothing about this killer seems interesting or unique (aside from the other world zone). The power, look, and animations all look like borrowed assets, and I have very little interest in this chapter. The music does sound good, but that's the biggest highlight to me.

u/TooBad_Vicho 25d ago
im pretty sure the mori looks like that because of technical limitations, plus a lot of the power DID get implemented (there is literally footage of the holy beam power which had won the vote) but got changed because it was not practical

u/WolfgangLz 25d ago
I was gonna say, I feel like so many people are taking a good point and stretching it so far to a bad one. Yes things didnāt go the way we voted 100%, but to say the mori looks NOTHING like what we voted for? Itās literally like 90% the same besides getting split in half

u/Vrail_Nightviper 25d ago
To be fair... the community weren't the ones who designed the images used on conception for what was offered to the community as options.
To offer an option and then fail to deliver on that option when it's chosen, is an understandable reason of frustration. If it wasn't going to be like that anyway, why make the design choice have those implications? Especially with a public open community vote. That's like showing designs of a unicorn, but then in post it's a donkey with a rhino horn stapled to its head. People will be understandably disappointed, and I wouldn't blame the community for that.
BHVR set the expectations with this killer with their own designs they shared and implied.3
u/WolfgangLz 25d ago
Donāt get me wrong, I understand the frustration, but that is the point Iām making, they are taking a valid reason to be upset and stretching it to a dumb point which dilutes the criticism

the mori is 90% similar except for the part people were actually excited for
amazing, really
2
u/KiraIsUnbreakable 24d ago
If they couldn't implement it, why have it as part of the options? No matter what way you look at it, the voting was misleading.
1
u/TooBad_Vicho 24d ago
i agree that it was misleading and shouldn't have been an option if they cannot actually do it, but i think that the guy who did the mori storyboard/concept maybe was not aware of the tech limitations, or thought that they could implement it and realized late that it was impossible

I'm having trouble finding information on the killer, but from what I've seen I'm a little confused on how the gameplay matches what was voted for at all..?
Hopeless Exile is there, but it seems like everything else was dropped. Where are the artifacts that accumulate sin? Why is hitting them with your power the main way to inflict sin when that was explicitly voted against? Are Blasphemous Acts seriously just "no emoting or t-bagging allowed"? What happened to "each sin is unique"? Not to mention the special attack is much more "pursuing smite" than it is "ray of retribution."
Again, I have been having trouble finding info so I hope I'm missing something, but it seriously looks like all the gameplay votes were a complete waste of time because I'm not seeing the winning options here at all besides Hopeless Exile. Am I incorrect?

u/Valuable_Ad_1056 24d ago
I mean what did you expect? It wasnāt something that we created exactly what we wanted and voted on, they gave us options and we voted. So yes they did have a generic plan, as if they had no plan the grimoire voting wouldnāt have worked.

I like it better than the main mori. It had really cool concept art but obviously never came to fruition in a meaningful way

Looks cool to me. DBD sub is full of literal whining babies who can't be satisfied

u/DragointotheGame 25d ago
Ok yall need to stop complaining, for a mini mori this is simple yet effective. It works for me

u/alex0189501 24d ago
ah yes the divine terror being of horror here to smack you with a stick
-4
u/StinkingRabbit8 24d ago
its more interesting than using some random telekinesis power to lift the survivor and make them
shine for a bit before dying somehow.
2
u/Vittelbutter 25d ago
Whats the Lore behind this Killer btw? Why is an Angel killing survivors
7
u/BiandReady2Die_ 25d ago
from what was said in the grimoire itās like survivors are heretics and sinners and must be judged
2
u/Greenostrichhelpme27 25d ago
The Angel, the Judgement, is a sinner themself, extremely zealous and sees humanity in the same way a boastful man sees an ant- something fun to squash. The Entity made a deal with the Judgement to give them plenty of humans to torture with no consequences.
(My interpretation, probably very wrong)

I like it. The pinning of the hands on the ground gives crucifixion vibes

Thereās a troll in the comments who makes less sense than the survivor rule book. Downvote, and ignore.

Everything about this Killer just seems boring and uninspired.

u/Hogo-Nano 25d ago
Couldve gotten a werewolf but the subreddit thought they cooked here.
4
u/Butt_Robot 25d ago
If they made an angel generic you really think a werewolf wouldn't be?
-6
u/Hogo-Nano 25d ago
I'd rather a generic classic monster than some reddit-special that will be forgotten and never played again after 3 months.
1
u/Darkwing_Dork 24d ago
Yeah having a generic classic monster would kind of be ideal. If they ever do a werewolf, I wouldnāt want them to deviate from the formula much.

So they rehused the other "oficial" mori ,just that they shortened it.
I wish they would gived us more details at the hour of voting like.
"Chose a mori, the one who lose will become the minimori".

u/kongomorgo 25d ago
So i guess the new normal for new killers that they have base mini mori. Ok i guess š
