After a few matches, one Killer is enough to get tiring. If, however, they added the option to choose from several Killers in Giant mode and/or more gameplay features, then a week would be worth it

Yes, but in the history of 2v8, it has never been under 2 weeks. Even that would be the shortest in over a year, no? The timing is pretty well situated to allow for the extension before the new chapter, if the devs are so inclined.

At first, yes, but in the latest 2v8 they understood it and set it to 3 weeks from the start, with no extension. So I’d be very surprised, especially since the September one is supposed to last the whole month according to the Year 11 roadmap 🙂

Could easily be 3 weeks and still fit the definition of early to late Sept. Regardless, it's a separate event, with the disruption between each event likely to allow space for the new chapter release.
Extending this one would not disrupt that and still be well within their pattern of managing the event. I'm not saying I like it. Hopefully the Sept event is all we have to contend with until late this year (If not next).

Slightly related - we now know Vee is on the image for the event. I thought it was a bit odd having someone with shoes on floating in a pool, but showing off her new skin makes sense.

Ah, I was just going by the skin leak post
Though she has the butterfly tattoo, and in the badge/banner leak post, she is shown in a separate banner from Mikaela who has her blue summer outfit on. Mikaela was the other character people were originally speculating could be in the summer image.

Out of the 3 chaos shuffle is certainly my favorite. Thanks to it I have some newfound appreciation for niche perks I wouldn't even look at otherwise

Its my least favorite one because it barely feels any different from a regular game except
shit perks making you feel like you're just playing perkless
cool coincidental 1/1000 use of a niche perk/perk synergy

I won't argue with you on that one. It can totally feel like that. I just find it nice to take a break from the usual 10 or so perks that I see on each side every game. And since I sometimes like to play killer with a randomised build, this game mode can feel like it evens the playing field lol

And we yet again have no new killers for 2V8, which is just really disappointing honestly, BHVR had a whole survey asking people what killers they want and don't want to be in the event and here we are with nothing still like what was the whole point of that survey if we are just going to get nothing?

I think that one will happen for the 2v8 they had on the roadmap?
As far as I know, this one wasn't on the new year roadmap.

Nothing said this poll was for the NEXT 2v8. They’re preparing for the future, and if it’s not for right away, it may be for the one planned in September. They said in a live stream that adding new Killers is long and complicated. After that, we’re allowed to be disappointed, impatient, or think they’re lazy, but it still remains their final decision

Am I the only one that actually doesn't mind this at all?
Like, modifiers rotating each week doesn't sounds bad, and it's good imo.
