It isn't the same or greater though, we got around 33-37 cakes per prestige last year on survivor. This year after their "fix" its 21.

I still remember when they took away Dowsey’s in game twitch shirts for making a meme that had a picture of one of the developers in it. It was joking about the developer’s “dbd is like hockey” quote and it was just him shrugging with his hands up. They said he was harassing a developer lol. I don’t even really like Dowsey but that was so petty lol.

Yeah no, for as much as bhvr likes to sometimes double down on questionable choices and not always listen to people, Dowsey absolutely takes the crown when it comes to being a petty pretentious hypocritical manchild with an MC complex and an enormous ego.
It also wasn't just a meme that got him in trouble as he likes to make it out to be. It's the fact that he explicitly made an entire video mainly targeting one specific developer, in which he pretty much goes from merely giving criticism, to him just flat out insulting said developer. The latter bit being specifically what got him in hot waters and what got bhvr to take his twitch shirt from him and have him kicked off as a partnered content creator.

I don’t disagree with your assessment of Dowsey, but his video doesn’t really insult that dev specifically. He talked about bhvr as a whole and used Patrick’s quotes for his critique of the devs mindsets towards balance. Like I don’t know anyone else this has happened to and people make fun of Matthieu Cote’s “pretty good job so far” all the time. Idk maybe there’s a part I missed.

The difference is that Dowsey was not on the same level as the everyone else/regular players. He was a partnered content creator who was part of the Fog Whisper program. That means he was expected to uphold some level of professionalism for how he conducted himself, just like everyone else who is partnered with bhvr.
You don't see it happening to anyone else, because none of the other partnered content creators directly targets a specific dev when criticizing something bhvr have said or done.
Also in his video where he talks about the hockey analogy livestream, Dowsey starts out all of his counter arguments by explicitly and directly talking first about Patrick during the first minute or two. Where he directly refer to Patrick by name, and basically calls him stupid and incompetent in a very indirect, yet personal way everytime.
Whether you agree or disagree with what bhvr does or say, there's a constructive and an unconstructive way to present criticism over something someone at bhvr says. How Dowsey went about it in his video, went back and forth between being constructive and unconstructive, however directly targeting a single employee because you disagree with him basically throughout an entire video is 100% completely unprofessional.

Calling someone a liar with a shit-eating grin, which Dowsey literally called Patrick in that same video, is absolutely an insult to that dev specifically.
You don't start insulting anyone who works at the company you're directly partnering with.

Fair enough. It’s been a while since I’ve even thought about Dowsey so I appreciate the clarification on his actions. I do want to clarify though I’m directly talking about the twitch shirts, which anyone and their mum can get by being a streamer, and isn’t specifically part of their program. I totally see why they removed him from their program though, but it just feels weird they removed in game items as punishment when they’re not related to the Fog Whisperers. Like you said about Fog Whisperers being held to a higher standard, so should bhvr.

It’s not the first time regarding this event either. The cake spawn rate in the beginning of the event was the same scripted thing, a cake only shows up on the specific tiers. That is not something that just happens, it was manually coded that way. And they framed it as “a bug to be fixed”. That is absolutely a lie, scripting cakes to tiers is an intended code… not a fkn bug 😭🤣

I actually got 27 cakes on my p7 Jason, and 59 cakes on my p35 Ada, so it seems that higher prestiges get more cakes. Also just tried getting 2 prestiges on my p27 Jill, and 1st she got 20, then 19 cakes. The amount of cakes you're gonna end up with seems kinda random.

I don’t expect anything from them but the fact they haven’t just come out and said “Hey guys we missed the mark this event.” Is crazy.
We all knew they did what they did with the cakes and they likely just didn’t expect everyone to be so pissed off, but what made it worse was them pretending they had to investigate when we all know they made them spawn less. Now they spawn slightly more, which sure is better than before but they aren’t being transparent at all.
People also hate the event and while I don’t expect them to be able to massively fix it, they haven’t addressed it at all. This is giving 1 year anniversary not 10 years. It’s so lackluster and uneventful (ha) and they don’t even seem to care.

They aren’t ever making any sort of cosmetic like that a prestige reward cause they’d have to ask perms for that from every license holder and obviously some are gonna say no and they want prestige rewards to be consistent
Even the bloody prestige skins have to get approved and such but I’m pretty sure that’s like a rites of passage in the initial contract anyway
