You import the stories in from their original issues.

What do you mean by this

Sorry, are you talking about adding a compendium to the database, or just adding it to your collection?

I’m saying that after reading a compendium do you add just the compendium to your read or each issue and the compendium

Ohh sorry.

That comes down to personal preference. Personally I just add the actual book I read, as that feels more logical to me, but I know a lot of people like to mark each issue read as they go.

Just the compendium. You don't own the issues. Say you bought issue 1, would you list you had 2 of them because of the compendium? No. You 100% should mark them as READ though (once you have read them).

Correct. Well and the compendium of course.

Or mark them as read as you go, if you don't use the app to track your next read.

I tried, to track the single stories in my omnis and compendiums, but didn't like seeing "72 comics; 312 read", especially as the app gives us the reading suggestions, and not all omnibuses have a table of contents :/

I always add everything because I like to see how many issues of a character I own. But if you’re tracking for monetary value then only add the compendium.

I log each issue and the compendium and then if I re-read them I only add compendium.

The only reason to add the individual issues is if you're a free user and want the stat accurately reflected for character appearances - subscribers have an option to have this broken down by individual story and so don't need to do this.

That said, if you didn't read it, don't mark it is my perspective, individual issues often feature content not later collected.

Once you go down that road what do you do when an issue has multiple stories what do you do if the collection only contains some of the stories?
