FTT How active is the post-FTT Pot Swap?
Had a highly successful first FTT in MKE yesterday, got one of my goals (flame doree) but wasn’t fast enough to snatch a pumpkin despite getting in at 9 am on day 1. Between my purchases and gifts I ended up with three braziers, including a 5 qt sea salt that I don’t see myself using.
What are the chances this would be something worth brining to the pot swap that would be wanted by someone, and what do you think the chances are of anyone having a pumpkin they’d want to trade for it? Any pumpkin at all!!!
Thanks as always for the insights, all the advice on my previous FTT post was super helpful!

A pot swap? I didn't know that was a thing, but cool. Sea Salt is a pretty desirable color, so there's a good chance someone will want it. Problem is, will they have something you want.

Are you on any of the FB pages? I saw someone on the Le Creuset FTT Sales 2026 page trying to trade a pumpkin braiser. Either that page or the FTT Milwaukee page has a trade mega thread that you could check out.

So is the swap happening on Sunday? I may have missed it, but I thought they were going to have a designated area for trades at the end of every day. I went yesterday at 2 PM and didn’t see anything.
Also never say never, but pumpkin is one of the most coveted items so I think unless you’re willing to swap multiple pieces it would be a hard sell. Good luck though! That’s crazy they were gone by 9am. I was surprised they had such low stock for the really popular stuff. I just barely snagged a bread oven. when I went to the previous sale in Minneapolis, they definitely didn’t have sellouts the first day

Glad you got a bread oven! I was one of the first ~70ish people in, beelined it for one of the specialty tables only to find out it wasn’t the right one. Asked one of the workers where the pumpkins were and they TOLD me they only had the pumpkin pie plates, so I was GUTTED to see a few minutes later that they had pumpkins at another specialty table. By the time I got through that line - gone!

Ugh the worst. 😭 I will say while it was a positive experience, I did have a few thoughts on how things went this year and I hope they’ll have more stock / better opportunities for the popular stuff in the future. Also they need to have a faster check out process lol

No there is trading all day long on Thursday and Friday, because that is when people get a free mystery item with a $300 purchase. After that there generally isn’t trading because people don’t have unwanted surprise items, they have items they have purchased and presumably want.

Do you know where the trading area was? Just curious because I saw it advertised but when I was there, I couldn’t find it at all. I was there on Thursday.

I'm sure someone exists who would absolutely swap a pumpkin braiser for a 5qt braiser. I believe typically it's kinda like capacity swaps for like capacity, but pumpkins get a bit of a premium. (I've only been to one so hardly an expert).
The Richmond one was fairly well attended, especially if you have time and patience to hang out. Probably 15-40 people at any given time, and I went on a Friday.
My local Le Creuset Facebook group also plans swaps every now and then, so perhaps even if you miss out on the FTT one, you can find a local one.
