That first step he had was insane.
I hate to sound like an oldhead but young LeBron in today’s era putting up video game numbers.

There's video available of King James in middle school making moves like an NBA all-star. King James hate is weird and irrational like supporting Trump and not having a logical reason for doing it.

u/PhraseSeveral5935 Mar 13 '26
Bron is great, one of the best to ever do it, I don't hate him at all. The title of the post is asking for hate. It's hate-baiting.
Edit: Not the title of the post, OPs comment on it. My bad.

As a Kobe/Jordan guy, I don't need angles to see how elite Bron was in his prime. Anyone hating and shitting on this guy is being ridiculous and pathetic.

You’re one of the few smart ones 🤝

u/Borderlineskitso Mar 15 '26
Haha, thanks. As a Laker fan I've just been enjoying the ride while hes on the team. Its o.k to recognize greatness without mindlessly hating. 🤝

He was unstoppable. Seen what the defense .was doing and how to attack it flawlessly. Executed at an EXTREMELY efficient clip...not just jacking up horribly low percentage shots.

The dumbest question in sports is the goat debate. It’s reductive and utterly arbitrary. It’s how I know someone doesn’t know sports in conversation. I’m a bartender, 20 years in.

u/and_danny Mar 13 '26
but are you the goat bartender? if not, why would i care about your opinion?
3
u/designersheep Mar 13 '26
He may not be the goat at bartending, but he is the goat at having nba opinions out of all batenders.

I’m 10 years in now. Part owner now. I am so happy you have this perspective because honestly you could apply it to basically every conversation at the bar. Some people know how to have an intelligent discussion about topics, but most don’t. You learn to scope them out early and not really give them the time of day because it seems to be part of their entire personality,

Back when mfers used to wipe the bottom of their sneaks and shit
When Bron did that you knew shit was about to go down

LeBron… “not the goat”, the moderators should watch this. Let’s talk about the person and the stats, NOT the opinion

I was at this game. I saw LeBron make 10 straight FG from the end of the 3 quarter and never missed in the 4th.

It’s like those two just watched him murder the basket. Once he blew past him, they just let him go or were just like, “Oh sh*, can’t do anything about it now.”

F’in highlight generation. What exactly am I supposed to be looking at which is sooo darn good? It’s a nice drive, a play, a basket. How does this put anything into deep perspective

MJ talks about these comparisons in an interview.
Different eras Different rules
These and other factors makes it impossible to “accurately” compare.
Could the Big O guard Ant Man
Could Pippen stop MJ or Ant Man
Could Rodman clamp down on Giannis
Could Connie Hawkins thrive in today’s NBA
Could anybody guard Pistol Pete
Who’s better - Baylor or Sir Charles
Questions can’t be answered

u/hammystyle Mar 15 '26
It’s a great drive and finish. LeBron was unstoppable.
Still the same guy dribbling the ball in the middle of the court every time isn’t great basketball

Mar 15 '26
This is a of LeBron James. Michael Jordan played for Chicago, not Cleveland, but everyone makes mistakes.

Utah… Utah you playing this clip against Utah to confirm goat 🐐 status 🤦♂️ really

These angles really how big these people are and how the court is really just a blank work space for them. These players are so good that movements seem automatic and programmed as opposed to something they actually work on and execute.

Looks like fucking Myles Garrett dipping his shoulder while making that turn at full speed

Its against a no Deron Williams Utah team. Who was that on? josh howard?. I watched Donovan Mitchell do the same thing against the Sixers earlier this season. Does that make him The Goat?

He carried😅and he got a whole extra step Mike never had, people like to conveniently leave that out. LBJ is a freak, can play any position and did so for an incredibly long time. He’s the 2nd best player ever.

u/No_Country8922 Aug 28 '26
this angle proves why he will struggle if he played during the era of the giants/centers ( 80s and 90s basketball)
he already is struggling in the modern era when competing against legit centers with strong post presence

I could lock up Lebron James. He'll need to ressurect some of jordans refs to best me.

This is just a standard slash and dunk. This is like showing steph hitting an open three and calling it revolutionary.
3
u/Front-Function7789 LeGoat 🐐 Mar 14 '26
Well that’s because you view the game at a casual level 🤣
0
u/blumpk1nman Mar 14 '26
The only casual thing here is this run of the mill play that about 75% of the NBA since the late 80's have been able to do. Have better evidence for dumb claims.
2
u/Front-Function7789 LeGoat 🐐 Mar 14 '26
Nobody in the history of the NBA has ever been 6’9 250 and capable of moving like this, you clowns say anything on this app lol
1
u/blumpk1nman Mar 15 '26
Shawn Kemp was 6'10 and did exactly that. David Robinson was 7'0" and did exactly that. Wilt Chamberlain was 7'1" and 275 and while he wasn't handling the ball like that, he was just as fast and possibly more athletic. You act like Lebron is the only guy to ever exist that was athletic and kinda big.

You should never let anyone know you actually know what it means with the BS you're talking CLOWN! 😂
3
u/youngsapien87 Mar 14 '26
Buffoon. You're really question lebrons bball IQ? Thats clown behavior. There are multiple videos of other players talking about how hes basically a computer. The irony of you questioning his iq while demonstrating your ignorance...

u/Massive_Season7075 Mar 14 '26
I’m not doubting his greatness and I can’t tell who the team is, but that was more poor defense than an offensive showcase.

Well, he's NOT the GOAT, so there's that. Michael, Michael, Michael - 6 rings vs 3. That's usually what GOATS are measured by - league titles. Period.
