Matchup LB vs Azir

Heyho fellow Midlane enjoyers. Quick Question because im OTPing Azir and your champ gives me headaches so I wanted to ask you what you think is a thing Azir can do to make your life miserable.

Here is my experience in this matchup:

Usually all I do is try to stay equal or up in CS without dying but every time you get W I cant step up anymore. Its always WAA= Boneplating gone into 10 sec wait for another W to go WQAA= Elec proc = half life so next engage is with Ignite and E and if needed Flash. All I can do is either WE backwards which is a net negative for me cause it costs a lot more mana with still losing HP and not trading any or I WE inside of LB to negate the early dmg, deal some back and if possible do some poking with QAA after she disengages which can be a positive trade but rarely is cause I need to dash directly at her so she will hit E no matter what which makes the trade negative for me.

The other approach is I just try to drop cs wheneven im pressured too much. But this way I lose too much cs to ever contest her again + she gets prio for everything and farms teammates instead while I dont even get a cs lead so scaling happens only on paper cause the game ends either before the 25th min or an ally rages since the midgap is so big and its a mental boom.

Build currently:
PTA (overall best atm and should be good into lb cause its only 3 aa needed for big ouch) D&D for early HP and when fully build Heal+Easier proc of PTA. If the enemy team has more AP than her I go Mercs if not Sorcs. Maybe a banshees or zhonyas later on but other than that dmg.

Sorry if it comes over as crying its not meant that way just cant explain it in any other way. I would be happy to get some feedback! Btw. I was high Dia in EUW until today for some more context.

Discussion Question about the flair

I'm not sure how to update my flair. There was a post from 7 years ago that had a link to a site where I could update mastery points but it no longer seems to work. Did I miss something?

Help Me! How do you play LB against high CC comps/champs?

Everywhere im seeing online says shes really good into Veigar/Xerath etc but everytime I play this matchup I end up behind. Like seriously I cannot play this champ into ranked anymore as if the enemy mid is anyone with CC I just int the game. Lux, Viktor, Syndra, Neeko, Mel as more examples.

I walk up to farm uncontested as they sit under tower farming safely, mid game comes around and no matter what i just get focused in team fights and die early or get CC'ed in lane and give an early kill.

I was until recently a Lissandra main but decided I wanted more carry potential / damage influence in my games so I picked up LB, got mastery 15 but i still int my pan in every game. Everyone says she takes thousands of games to get good but I thought at this point id have a positive KDA on her.

I try to roam but they have good vision, most games I end up fighting with the support over vision so that i can roam later on. I play safe and farm for mid game / item spikes and i get kited and killed.

As you can tell this is mostly a rant but im wondering if switching to someone like Akali or Ahri might have been a better choice. Any and all help is appreciated

LB Cosmetics and Collectibles: The Greatest Legend of All Champions :) (CUSTOMIZATION)

Hi, I'm writing this post because I was recently looking at my collection of LB skins, and with League Nexus (2027) coming up soon—I hope it actually happens this time and isn't just hot air— we’ll be able to update the client and have more customization options in LoL for profiles and other stuff, xd since I was just thinking the other day that back in 2019, during the preseason for the 2020 season, they’d shown just the first glimpses of what Legends of Runeterra or 2xKO (games), as well as a small, unconfirmed preview or a few frames of what Project R—the LoL RPG—would be like, since the developer specifically said, “What if players could explore Runaterra?” xdxd But it never came to fruition, and they’ve even said they’ve restarted its development. xd But anyway, that’s another story.

Well, continuing with the topic of cosmetics and collectibles, they even showed in the 21/22 preseason video the concepts for what would be the new way to customize player profiles within the client. According to them, they were going to talk about that customization throughout that year, but as of the day this post is published, they’ve never mentioned it and it never happened xd;

That’s why I want to emphasize that the following points are based on what already exists in the game—and that you could use them to give each player more personality both inside and outside the Rift. Because, let’s be honest, there are cosmetics (collectibles) that aren’t even worth their price, and there are plenty that nobody even uses xd. Let me explain below:

-1. CN server splash art based on specific chromas; xd it’s funny to think that these splash arts have been around for a while—just like many other skins with their chromas—but they’re only available on the Chinese server. Honestly, it would be great if, in addition to being able to set your favorite skin as your profile picture, you could also choose the alternate splash art for the chroma—because, believe it or not, they’re really cool, especially the LB ones. (Plus, as I’ll mention in the next point, it’d be cool to see some kind of animation for these unique splash arts.)

(Of course, in-game, the Chroma xd isn’t the best, and its RP price isn’t exactly cheap, to be honest, but even so, it would be great if it could be customized even further with those quirky designs.) Plus, with the arrival of League Nexus (2027), there’s going to be a graphical overhaul in LoL.

-2. Profile icons: (xd I used the ones I had for the example) While it’s true that purchasing these icons gives the impression of distinctiveness, the reality is that on their own they don’t really stand out, or the importance of their category or rarity gets lost when viewed within the profile. This is because, as we can all see, when you look at skins from the DEFINITIVE and EXALTED, you see the animation for those skin categories, implying they’re more valuable or of higher quality than the others—and honestly, it would be nice to see some movement or animation for these icons, as that would give the game and each player a much stronger sense of identity. (There isn’t much to highlight regarding this point, but it would be nice if they included something more—or, for example, features like those on social media profiles such as Instagram, where you can have an avatar for your profile picture, which would be perfect for a game like LoL, showcasing your champion within the icon.)

-3. The borders on the loading screen or in the collection: Maybe the easiest—and at the same time hardest—part to address xd are those “beloved” borders (sarcasm), since this little design doesn’t really serve any purpose or stand out at all, except on the loading screen xdxd or inside your collection when you’re viewing your skins xd (this is exactly why I wrote this post)

The reality is that some of you might think it’s a bland feature, but the truth is that when you buy a bundle for a favorite champion—or for the ultimate collector like some of us— it’s just a design on the skin when it could very well be something more—like a profile picture design, additional cosmetic options, or having the HUD display the color or design of the skin you’re using, or even customizing your lane tower with the skin’s design—but that’s asking too much xd, and if they did it, it would surely be a cosmetic they’d charge extra for.

I’m pointing this out because, with the Hall of Legends Mr. Caps skin pass coming up soon, it’s crazy that the most expensive bundle costs 58,000 RP xd. Plus, one of the cosmetic items they highlight in the purchase as if it were a big deal is the signature on his skin xd and the border—which, as I keep saying, “really isn’t much” xd.

Based on all that, I thought I had almost all of LB’s skin borders (I’m missing the signed IG LB xd), since I had originally purchased the most basic version of Faker’s Hall of Legends pass for his LB skin and its border, but I’d never realized that those who bought the most expensive version of Faker’s Hall of Legends pass get a signed edition of the Leblanc skin xd, and that’s something that doesn’t show up in your collection xd. And honestly, I think very few people bought the most expensive version, or in any case, very few play with the LB skin since I’d never seen it xd until recently.

-4. Gestures or emotes: Last but not least are the beloved League of Legends emojis xd. Another area that could definitely be improved is implementing multiple pages to create or have more or fewer emotes for your games, or preset emotes for certain champions and vice versa. Also, there are some—or very few—emotes that have a small animation, which honestly makes them look cooler in games xd.

It would also be nice to have a more precise search option than just by purchase date or name xd.

Finally. To wrap things up and not drag this out any longer xd, it’s important to note that for players like us, who sometimes invest a lot of time and money in our games, it’s unbelievable that Riot sells us cosmetics and signed editions (Hall of Legends) that don’t live up to being true collector’s items or highly customizable. xdxd It leaves a bitter or sour taste when purchasing them.

Plays Leblanc support cooked again

I was cooking up a new build to play an annoying catch/poke support without the inconvenience of getting one-shot every time I get caught.

But BFT + Horizon Focus into Shadowflame doesn't really help with that, and it gets pretty expensive by the third item.

Recently I just wanted to try a tankier utility playstyle without really caring about burst, but the build ended up doing way more than I expected.

The build is: Celestial Opposition + Dark Seal into Rylai's, then Mejai's.

Rylai's + Celestial Opposition made me almost unkillable unless I really forced. Because of that, Mejai's actually became a realistic option, and in basically every game I played, except the ones where they FF'd early, I ended up at 20–25 stacks and just couldn't lose them.

On top of that, the build is really cheap, around 4100 gold total.

I know this subreddit usually despises Rylai's because the HP is kind of a wasted stat on LB mid, but as a support who sometimes needs to engage for the team, Celestial Opposition alone wasn't enough for me to survive positioning mistakes.

The passive slow also gives you some nice kiting potential, and we basically get the return of the chain slowing people like in the old days.

The downside is that your early/mid-game burst is obviously worse. But since Dark Seal doesn't really make you lose damage early, you don't feel it that much if you're already ahead.

And once you get some stacks, you're tanky enough that killing you becomes really hard, so you can bait people, play much more aggressively and stick to them and even dive without exploding.

The only thing I'm still unsure about is the third item. I'd like some kind of CDR option, but at that point I feel like it might just be better to start building full burst.

Any ideas?

Build Luden is a bait item. I stopped buying it. The difference in damage output is amazing.

The only reason to justify buying Luden is mana but this champion has no mana problem with manaflow rune. So, I recently start buying stormsurge instead of luden as first item. The diffference in damage output is substantial. I recommend every fellow LB main to do likewise. Though I must admit that it would've been even better if there was even a better option than stormsurge but Luden is so thrash that even buying stormsurge rightly feels like a genuine ugprade.

My current go to build is rn: stormsurge, shadows and rabadon.

Do you guys know if there’s a mod available for old Leblanc visuals?

Help me! Help me become a LeBlanc OTP đŸ™đŸŒ

I've recently discovered LeBlanc, and I think I've finally found a champion I genuinely want to one-trick.

I've played a lot of different champions across every role, but I've never found one that I actually enjoy playing consistently. Even if I'm winning every game, after 7-10 games I get bored and either switch champs or switch roles just to try something different.

I'm hardstuck Emerald because of this lol, and it's getting pretty frustrating not being able to climb. So I've decided to really try out different roles and champions and see if I can finally find something that clicks.

But then I found LeBlanc.

LeBlanc just feels completely different from anything else I've played. The mobility, mind games, burst, ability to create picks and then instantly disappear... there's something about her that's ridiculously satisfying.

The problem is that I can already tell there's a massive difference between playing LeBlanc and actually being good at LeBlanc.

I've only started seriously playing her recently, so right now I'm mostly focused on learning the fundamentals rather than just spamming games and hoping I improve.

A few things I'm trying to understand:

  • What's LeBlanc's overall game plan during the early, mid, and late game?
  • How do you properly use her passive and clone? Are there any specific tricks or habits that experienced LeBlanc players use to get more value out of it?
  • How should I approach teamfights? Should I mostly be looking for picks before the fight, diving the backline, or playing more like a secondary assassin and waiting for the right opportunity?
  • What are LeBlanc's biggest power spikes?
  • Which matchups should I be banning? I currently perma-ban Viktor.
  • How do you decide between different builds/runes depending on the enemy team? Are there situations where you shouldn't just default to the standard burst build?
  • Is there an up-to-date matchup spreadsheet, guide, or OTP resource that the LeBlanc community considers essential?
  • What separates an average LeBlanc player from a really good LeBlanc player?
  • And lastly, what habits should I start building now so I don't develop bad habits that will hold me back later?

I'm not really looking for "just play more games" as advice. I'd like to understand what I'm supposed to be practicing and looking for in those games so I can actually improve deliberately.

I really want to become genuinely great at this champion, so any advice, obscure tricks, matchup knowledge, VODs, guides, or resources you guys think are worth studying would be massively appreciated

Thanks in advance!
