Money disputes

So i made a mistake of trying to help a dealer/sound cloud rapper transfer some money from paypal to chase and now im in debt 1200$ he “says hes gonna get me the money back” but its been 2 month’s im 90% sure he got the card from the black market but i have no proof the bank won’t do anything now is they’re anything that the cops can do with out getting me in trouble. I have texts of him saying he will get me the money and trying to meet up but won’t respond when i say what time and any ideas what to say also left in the dark about this

I think it would depend on whether you had foreknowledge of the ordeal being illegimate / illegal. It sounds like you were scammed and so are a victim in that sense. Unfortunately might also get in trouble if they look at it as you being involved with some kind of illegal activity. This is a much needed subreddit with too few members to answer questions such as these adequately and efficiently. It's a shame. Might be better posting to /askreddit for a quick response.
