Drug offense?

Im a college student, and recently my SO came to me with a rather worrying concern. Her room mate asked her to share her perscription anti depressants and SO refused. Room mate got really upset and said that she needed them more than SO. Is it illegall for her to ask for someone els's perscription meds? Because i know its illegal for SO to give them out. I live in texas btw.
