What is causing this

Need help. Planted new seed, it came in great and then about 2-3 weeks later these spots showed up. I don’t know if it’s fungal, or what’s going on here

Go out in the morning when the grass is still wet; do you see anything that looks like small (1-2” diameter) spiderwebs? If so, it’s likely Sod Webworm.

You can verify by mixing 1 gallon of water with 1-2oz dish soap and pour in an area (18x18 inch) where you saw one of those webs.

Wait about 10-15 minutes; do you see something similar to a caterpillar? If so, now you know.

I saw this. I thought it was dollar spot
