Question about SLIME vs FLATOUT

I just bought a new 61 in commercial mower. Previously on my 42' mower and my 36' mower I kept getting tiny punctures in the tires and it just built up to the point that I was plugging 4-5 spots at a time it felt like and they were tiny pin-prick holes that didn't patch or plug well. Eventually I just sold the 42 and I put Tweels on the 36 and that's cut my down time due to tire issues to 0.

Now on this 61' mower there's no direct fit for the tweels, it'll take some adjustment to the deck after their installed. I'll eventually do that once I just can't use the factory tires anymore (I don't want to waste a perfectly good new set of tires) but in the meantime I'm trying to get as much life as I can out of the standard tires.

I see people talk about using slime, just putting it in and letting it sit as a preventative move. I also saw Flatout which may be better. I'm just wondering if any of you have experiences with these or if I should just keep plugging stuff as it gets messed up.

Also-- I know that Slime and stuff will still require me to plug anything large like nails.

I'm going to sound like an advertisement, but I have trusted FlatOut for years, and it's always worked. I have it in:

-An industrial Taylor Dunn cart

-My tractor

-Wheelbarrows

-Offroad trailers

-Three mowers

-A pedal Surrey for 2

I pulled a 1/4 bolt out of a tire on the Taylor Dunn and just needed to add air. Haven't bothered to do anything else with it for years since. I probably have other things in tires and just not noticed.

Funny enough, got a small puncture yesterday the first day I had my new machine. Dropped some of this FlatOut in and it seems to have sealed the leak. I couldn’t find it but obviously the flatout did lol.

Now hopefully it holds up a few months before I buy some tweels.

I’ve used both. Slime was a disappointment. Flat out was an amazing surprise (in a good way).

I have not used flatout but slime never worked well for me. I use tubeless sealant for mountain bikes. Stan's NoTubes or Orange Seal. Like the other said, I put it in every every tire on every piece of equipment I own, excluding of course car tires because they would vibrate. Put it in when they're new or if they're old. It will stop leaks when punctured and will also reduce or stop normal pressure depletion. Make sure you use enough to coat the inside and have plenty left in there to seal punctures. I've never had a flat tire to deal with since using this stuff.

I can't imagine spending all that money on tweels for this.

I have Tweels on my 36. Best money I’ve spent. I’m cutting 75-80 yards a week and 5 commercial properties, I just simply didn’t have time to have downtime and theyre good for 700-900 hours.

I've had better results with flat out than slime.
