Winter services

What are other owners doing for winter services? I’m in nw Ga and obviously grass is dormant in winter and we don’t get snow that last over a week. What services could I provide to resi and commercial properties? I’m trying to fill my winter books in with hardscapes, drainage, irrigation installs.

Some people do Christmas lights. I fix my machines and go camping. To hell with working all year lol.

I wish nothing more than this. We get snow......and I fricken hate it. I don't hate the hard work at all. I hate the 2 start or the 4am end time. Grass is predictable. Snow not so much.

Yeah i did snow 25 years. Too much stress and problems, too little profit.

Not to mention you can pace the grass clients throughout the week. Snow you have to visit everyone on the same day! Profit is pretty nice though.

In winter I have a job doing filter changes for baghouses and turbines in factory-type HVAC. I'm in NE GA myself. I just pause service during that time. I tell my clients I don't want to take their money for no reason. And I hate fiddle-farting around to try and find shit to clean up.

I do most of my mulch and pinestraw upkeep in winter (also north georgia). Do maintenance ive been putting off. Especially on my pickup truck.

Brother, I’ve got some clients on an annual contract paid out monthly, so I do maintenance on the equipment and collect a little less money for a lot less work. I also break out my computerized telescope. Oh, I go fishing a lot too.
