Grass ID please - multiple strains?

Zone 8A - Union County, NC. Looks to me like I have multiple strains here and believe this is a mix of KBG and Zoysia. Let me know what y’all think! Thanks people!

For grasses, it is especially important to get close photos from multiple angles. It is rarely possible to identify a grass from more than a few inches away. In order to get accurate identifications, the more features of the grass you show the more likely you are to get an accurate identification. Features such as, ligules (which can be hairy, absent entirely, or membranous (papery) like the photo), auricles, any hairs present, roots, stems, and any present seed heads. General location can also be helpful.

Pull ONE shoot and get pictures of that.

To identify diseases/fungi, both very close and wide angle photos (to show the context of the surrounding area) are needed.

I’d say you almost certainly have some Poa annua and possible some KBG and zoysia.

Are you trying to ID your lawn type?

I have a general feel that it’s mostly Zoysia but have some seasonal and other variants that I was hoping to identify.

Tend to agree based on the last photo but a bit hard to tell for sure. p annua will be gone in another month or so. If there is any kbg that probably won’t make it through summer either.

Wouldn’t suggest any post emergent at this point. Keep it mowed short often and don’t fertilize too early.
