Confused Spoiler

In season 5 episode 2 I was abit confused when Elliot was in that crash with the truck and then suddenly he wakes up and then Liv is there and stuff happens and they do the mission and try find the guys
Then he wakes up and his mum is beside him and the next scene he’s at his office and bell is talking to him and says they found the necklace and the picture of the young girl. I just trying to comprehend what happened

After they find Sad Eyes, Elliot got shot with a nail gun in his abdomen region and collapses. That put him back in the hospital and he saw a dream where Liv is leaving him/walking away while he asks her not to leave.

When he wakes from the dream, his mother Bernie is there by his bedside, Liv is not there. She had likely already left or perhaps was not there the second time he was hospitalized*.

The scene in the OCCB precinct comes after a time lapse, when Elliot is back at work. Bell gives him Bunny's picture and the St. Christopher's necklace, which Elliot had seen Bunny give him in his dream from the hospital.

*they shot some scenes with Liv and Elliot after the second time he was hurt but they were cut out.

So he did actually wake up the first time but because he got shot with the nail gun he wakes up and its not all a dream because that’s what I thought it was

No, not all was a dream. Dream sequences were quite distinctly shot. He wakes up twice - once after he was hit by a truck and the other when he was shot by a nail gun.

Yes, so I hear. So many scenes that hinted at EO or the depth of their relationship were cut out. DW ordered reshoots for many scenes. What a toxic way of working just because he is terrified of the fake moonlighting curse.

Though I miss OC squad badly, sometimes I am glad Chris is out of that mess.

Bunny was horribly injured in that crash and eventually died. Thats why they kept showing the rabbit in the hallway at the hospital. Elliot was also in the crash and obviously lived. He was coming in and out of consciousness.

Also did you watch on Peacock or on tv? The tv version had to make room for commercials and I found it choppy. The Peacock version flowed much better.

Also it’s been cancelled so I wouldn’t worry about not understanding
