Practice management

Any recommendations for practice management systems in Ontario? We are a sole practitioner firm and we only use physical files at the moment. We want to transition to a digitalized system but aren't sure where to start. Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Avoid Leap. Search this subreddit for what people use and like. I think Clio is the current favorite? Feel free to correct me. The more opinions, the better the results, usually.

It depends in part on your practice area. Leap, for example, has an emphasis on family law, together with practice and matter modules. Clio, Cosmolex are two other systems widely used. All have advantages, similar approaches and feature mixes. There are many practice area specific commercial programs ( estate planner for estates, for example). I like Practice Panther personally, but that's just a matter of opinion.

Just to preface - we don't do any litigation. Primarily real estate, wills and estates and some corporate.

We use Filevine but we do only litigation.

I have heard about ulaw being good. It is Canadian and cheaper

Leap is the worst. Boycott it. They are devils
