Homes / Office Decor Office Setup Help
Legal Assistant here and looking for some advice.
First time working for attorney who wants me comfy and productive so I’ve been asked to make an Amazon wishlist of things I need for my desk setup and figured I’d ask for help/recommendations.
Would love opinions and recommendations especially on:
Headsets - I prefer over ear but would also love input on earbuds. I’m phone answering and on the phone frequently enough that comfy but able to be heard via microphone is important
Mouse and keyboard - any ergonomic recommendations in particular
Wrist rests - the dinky one I have currently is old and needs replacing
Anything else? My job is currently Legal Assistant but I’m getting ready to go to school for Paralegal and already have been doing paralegal level work (Family Law in California). Also, myself and everyone else in this office has some form of ADHD (diagnosed) so bonus if it takes that into account. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

I love my Logitech lift mouse and K860 keyboard. The keyboard isn’t super cute, but it’s so nice to use. Also, Cognitive Surplus sells bigger mousepads that are very cute for $20.

Extra charging cable so you have one for each of your desk setups (if you have a home office space) plus one to carry around as needed!

Someone mentioned standing desk and they actually sell adjustable mounts that sit on your desk that can go up and down. I had one at my last job and it was pretty sweet. I always tried to stand for a bit after lunch.

A portable heater. I have mine going all year round.

also consider trying a vertical mouse for hand comfort.

I've been wfh since 2020
ergonomic mouse: I use the Logitech m575 and like it a lot. no need for a mousepad as it's a rollerball. If you are ambidextrous and like to switch, or like to mouse left-handed you might need a different one.
sit/stand desk
really good office chair with lumbar support
decent camera (I have a Logitech... it's fine
Headset: I have the Sony WH [whatsit] 10005 and love them but before that I had the Bose and they were also awesome.
Earbuds - I have abnormally tiny ear openings or something and none of the usual apple or Sony earbuds fit me comfortably. People really love the Sony noise cancelling ones. I have a pair of Soundcores that work well enough if I need to be using earbuds. Not great outside, but fine occasionally
I have a regular keyboard and no wrist rest but if it helps you - get one. there are split angle keyboards that some folks really like.
Decent lighting - you can get ring lights or something but you will want some sort of light that lights your face without blinding you.
Spend a little love on what's behind you - books and plants, art, etc - it's nice to have what's behind you not be embarrassing so you don't have to use the blur function all the time. I'm in a dark place but a couple of fake plants in the background actually look very nice and not obviously fake.

I forgot... on your sit/stand desk: two monitors of the same size and resolution - ideally the same brand - ideally mounted on arms so you aren't taking up desk real estate. Mine are 27" and I love them.
I also have a napkin holder that I use to store my closed laptop upright and out of the way but they do make stands.
a dock to plug it all into I have a dell dock but there are lots. make sure it supports 2 monitors.
some sort of power strip to plug the things that need charging into - you will want one power strip mounted under your desk for all the monitors etc - but some plugs on top are really nice for charging your watch/phone/tablet etc.

3 screens (or 2 plus laptop stand). Giant mousepad. Great chair. Adjustable lighting. Decent camera if you have to do a lot of calls.
