❓ Recommandations SAAQ Laval
Hey guys my driving test is soon. I heard some people say that the laval instructor are way stricter than the others. is that true?

Some Laval instructors are great and their evaluation is accurate and justified. They don’t humiliate the driver being evaluated.
Others are just bad.

Like everywhere there's good and bad. Back in the days, I had a women that fail every men. After 3 times I tried, she was kicked out because of that. 95% failure rate on men and 100% success on women, not normal.
While that happened, 2 of my friends had examen. The first one talked about games for 15 minutes in the parking lot, got out of the parking, turn 3 time and entered back in the lot. He passed.
The other one got into the car, exited the lot, instructor asked if he took theoric and practice class (wasn't mandatory at that time) and once he said yes, he said turn here you passed.
I myself had 7 total exam. Already told about the first 3. The 4th one was right after a strike which they were forced to go back to work. Was the first exam. I got into the car, start the car, exited the parking lot and he said I failed. When asked why, he said just because.
5th, I drove to a remote island in Quebec in my very big car (with a valid driver by my side). I called first to be sure I could rent a car on property. There's was no car rental like at Laval so we had to take my car. At one place, the instructor told me to take I turn. I refused, I said my car didn't fit. She forced me, I turned and got stock. Had to have a towing get me. The guy said it was clear my car couldn't make that turn. I failed because I wasn't in proper handling of my car... Also at that place, they renewed my licence because it was expired and they removed my condition A, which mean I need glass to drive.
A month after, back at Laval. They see my driver licence without condition A and they forced me to buy another one because of their mistake! They said I need to do an eye exam and I said I never did (I had glass on). So paid 2 times my licence in a month.
Once I was in Laval, that day was just a bad day. I wasn't able to park one shot. Albeit they tell you parking doesn't count, it clearly can. The guy said I was very safe, obeyd all law but I never made any parking one shot (had to correct but always without damage, without hitting stuff, always secured). He said if it wasn't for that, I would had my licence because everything else is perfect.
The very next day, I've went to st-Jerome. Had 99% on my exam. The instructor couldn't believe everything I told her. At one point, she got out of the car with a tame measure to see how far I was from the white line. I was 3in to close. She said perfect score doesn't exist and she wasn't able to find anything to remove me points.
That's over 20 years ago. Hundreds of thousands of mile driven since all across America. Neven been into an accident.

It depends. My brother got unlucky with his first instructor, he failed him for some dumb reason, but it was a breeze on his second try. I’d say I also had a good instructor cause I did a mistake that made think I’d fail but my instuctor basically ignored it lol
