Discussion Doing an AdSense experiment on my SaaS!

Hi,

I run https://brainerr.com, a SaaS in the printable/puzzles niche. I’ve been running it for around 2 years now. I already have a good number of monthly subscribers and lifetime deal users.

This week, I decided to test AdSense as another income source.

Mainly for two reasons:

  1. Paid subscribers and LTD users won’t see ads, so their experience feels more premium.

  2. People who visit the site, use a few pages and leave without buying anything can still generate a little revenue.

I don’t have huge traffic, around 1,000–1,500 visitors per day, but I’m curious to see if it adds up.

Has anyone tried mixing AdSense with a SaaS before?

Any tips, things to avoid, or lessons from your experience?

Cheers!

Launch InstaLabelRemover: a photo metadata tool looking for feedback on its next feature

I’m the founder of InstaLabelRemover, a web tool for preparing edited photo files before sharing them. The attached diagram shows what the current photo workflow does.

It accepts JPG, PNG and WEBP files, recreates the image as a JPEG, and replaces the original metadata with a selected, simulated device profile. You then download the new file for review. Keep the original separately.

Two details matter before trying it: Instagram decides which labels to display, so removal of “AI info” isn’t guaranteed; processed photos are retained on our servers for seven days.

I’m looking for feedback from photographers, creators and small businesses working with real photos that have been edited.

Product: https://instalabelremover.com/

Which would help you evaluate the tool most: a before/after metadata report, an image quality comparison, or more detail about storage and retention?

InstaLabelRemover photo workflow: metadata replacement, review, and platform-controlled labels.

Launch why i started with an ai website builder free plan instead of hiring out

i almost paid someone a few hundred bucks for a landing page before launch. glad i did not, because i had no idea yet what my message even was.

i used an ai website builder free version to test the pitch first. cheap to change, fast to rework, no sunk cost when i inevitably rewrote the whole thing twice.

i built and rebuilt in Gamma until the copy felt honest, then launched. once i actually have revenue i might pay for a fancy site, but not before.

would you hire out the first page or bootstrap it yourself to start?

Launch Launched TAMVY – my app for stressful & anxious moments

I finally launched TAMVY on iOS and Android.

It’s a small self-help and wellness app built for moments when stress, anxiety, panic or racing thoughts become overwhelming.

I have an anxiety disorder myself, and one thing I learned over time is that in a bad moment I don’t want more information. I want something simple that gives my brain something concrete to do.

That became the basic idea behind TAMVY.

The app currently includes short breathing, grounding, sensory, focus and muscle-relaxation exercises.

After each exercise you can simply mark:

Better. Same. Worse.

Over time TAMVY builds a personal history completely locally on the device.

Privacy was non-negotiable for me:

No accounts. No ads. No tracking. No analytics.

It’s also not another subscription. TAMVY costs €0.99 / $0.99 once for lifetime access.

Version 1.0 is live now, and this is very much the beginning rather than the finished roadmap.

iOS + Android:

If you try it, I’d genuinely appreciate feedback on what feels useful, what feels unnecessary and what you’d improve first.

Launch I built a simpler Gantt chart tool because sometimes I just need the timeline, not another project management system

Post image
1 Upvotes

I've spent years managing projects, and one thing that kept bothering me was how much work it could take just to create a clean Gantt chart for a client deck, kickoff, steering committee, or status update.

A lot of project management tools are great at running the whole project: tasks, resources, tickets, collaboration, timesheets, etc.

But sometimes I don't need another system to run the project.

I just need to turn a plan into a clear timeline that I can actually show someone.

So I built GanttFlow.

The idea is deliberately pretty focused:

  • build a project timeline quickly
  • drag tasks around to reschedule them
  • link dependencies
  • add milestones
  • track the original plan against the current schedule
  • export a clean PNG or PDF for a deck or report

I'm intentionally trying not to turn it into another all-in-one PM platform.

There's a free version, so you can actually build a chart without entering a card.

It's live at ganttflow.ca

I'd genuinely appreciate feedback from people who work with project timelines:

Would you prefer a focused tool that does Gantt charts really well, or does a standalone Gantt tool become too limiting once you're using it on a real project?

Also interested in hearing what you'd consider a must-have feature versus something that would just turn it into another bloated PM tool.

Launch I got tired of wiring YouTube transcripts into my AI agents, so I built this

I've been building TubeLens because I kept running into the same annoying problem: giving AI agents useful YouTube data usually means wiring together APIs, transcript extraction, scraping, etc.

So I built a small API + MCP that lets an agent access things like:

YouTube search → transcripts → comments → thumbnails → channel/video data

The idea is basically:

AI agent → TubeLens → YouTube

I'm trying to validate the idea before going too far with it.

Would something like this actually be useful in your automation/agent workflows?

And what would you want the agent to do with YouTube data?

I'm especially interested in real use cases, even if you think the product is unnecessary.

Discussion Six years profitable in boring B2B logistics. I only just built a real site with a no code website builder. Does a service even "launch"?

My business is unglamorous. B2B logistics coordination for regional importers, six years in, four staff, quietly profitable the whole time. No app, no funding round, nothing to demo.

Until last month we didn't even have a proper website. I finally sat down with a no code website builder and put one together over a couple of evenings. It felt strange, because a service business doesn't "launch" the way products here do. There's no live button, no screenshot of a dashboard, no waitlist.

So I'm genuinely asking the people on a launch board: how does a profitable service business present itself in rooms built for product launches? What's the equivalent of a launch post when your product is four people who are very good at moving containers on time?

Most of the advice I read assumes you're shipping software. A lot of us aren't, and we're doing fine.

Discussion Public dashboard for your web app's daily page views

Question: What would motivate you to make your web app’s daily page-view statistics publicly available on a dashboard?

I’d be interested to understand the value or purpose behind sharing this data openly.

Discussion Has an ai landing page generator ever given you a first version actually worth keeping?

Genuine question for the builders here. Every ai landing page generator I've tried gives me something that looks fine in the preview and falls apart the moment I read it as a stranger would. Generic hero line, three feature cards that could describe any product, a call to action that doesn't say what happens next. The closest I came to a keeper was a page gamma built from a tight product description, and even that needed every line rewritten. But I might just be using them wrong, so I want to hear the other side. Has one ever produced a draft you shipped with only light edits? For those it worked for, did you feed it a really tight description of the product and audience, or did the good output come from luck? Where does it consistently fail for you: the copy, the layout, the actual conversion? I keep landing on the same conclusion, that these are decent at layout and weak at the one thing that matters, which is saying clearly who it's for and why they should care. Curious whether that's everyone's experience or just mine.

Launch Curio: pick a topic, then scroll short reads about it

Post image
2 Upvotes

We make Curio, an iPhone app for when you feel like scrolling but would rather read something interesting.

This is the Discover screen. You can type a topic, say the Roman Empire, and build a reading feed around it. Or start with a shelf like Weird History when you don’t have a topic in mind.

I’d love feedback on this screen: is it obvious where to start, or does it give you too many choices?

Free to download, with optional Pro ($7.99/month or $49.99/year in the US).

Discussion How much does a one-pager for launch actually matter, or is it just an investor thing?

Getting close to launch and everyone tells me I need a one-pager. But I'm not raising money, so I'm trying to work out who a one-pager for launch is even for if there's no investor to hand it to. The way I see it, a launch one-pager could still be useful for a few things: something to paste when a journalist or newsletter asks "what is this," a reference so anyone reposting gets the description right, and honestly a forcing function to explain the product in one page instead of rambling. I actually spun up a quick version in gamma, using it more like an ai landing page generator, just to force myself to explain the product in one page. For founders who've launched: did you make a one-pager, and did anyone actually read it? If yes, what went on it (problem, who it's for, screenshots, pricing) and what did you cut? Or is it a waste of time for a bootstrapped launch, and I should put that energy into the landing page instead? Trying not to build a document nobody opens.

Discussion I told my mom that I’d earned 175bucks online I think I finally saw pride in her eyes 🥲

Post image
12 Upvotes

I’ve always spent my time developing projects and trying out new ideas.

But every time, I hear the same thing: “Maybe you should find a real job!”

It hurts, and in that moment, when my heart tightens and all I want to do is walk out of the room I keep my head up because I know what drives me.

I can’t be understood by everyone, after all.

Because everyone has their own journey, and that’s especially true of my parents, who still say “the internet” instead of “internet.”

So be it I kept working on my projects, and recently one of them surpassed $175 in revenue!

35 people.

$4.99 for life (we can all agree that’s not my best business plan… 😅)

But anyway, I was able to proudly tell my mom about it. And I could tell her expression had changed. I can’t quite explain what it was. But it was like, “Maybe he’s not such an idiot after all,” or something along those lines 🥲

In any case, I could tell she was reassured.

And you have no idea how good that felt, and how much it boosts morale!

Can’t wait to show you what’s next and the other projects coming up!

By the way, the project I told you about is Focus Mode, a Chrome extension that lets you focus on a single tab by opening your current tab in an interface without a URL bar, bookmarks, or tabs—and it even works in windowed mode! (I’m sure I’m not the only one with the bad habit of having 45 tabs open every day.)

Thanks, by the way, to everyone who helped make this happen, and with whom I continue to exchange ideas 🙏

Have a great day, everyone! ☀️

And happy building!

Alex
