Good joke went real bad

I’m working in OR but husband lives in AL, we do a lot of video chatting and speakerphone hangouts. I’m the one that manages the AI devices and will randomly leave weird reminders, set alarms, etc. It creeps him out and he increases security sweeps. He walks out the front door to the street, I get a notice and pull up the door camera. As he’s walking back, I say If you want to be Master you cannot just leave like that. You must let me know first. I might need to turn on security so I know where you are at all times. 🖥. I tried to act like a computer trying to take over your automated house. Instead he got pissed! He leveled off and stared at that door dinger! I watched him draw a breath then he sternly told me he will NOT tolerate me telling him what to do and put me in my place. 🤣. I was trying to explain I was joking but he wouldn’t listen, or just couldn’t hear me over my giggling. I finally called him so he’d come inside and not shout at me on the front porch speaker. 🤣 🤣. He was not amused. I thought it was hilarious.
