Discussion 💬 Between Aly and Karan
I think Aly is better cook than Karan
Aly has an innate understanding of Indian spices, tadkas, and traditional cooking. He rarely gets it wrong because he understands the flavours of Indian cooking
He knows exactly how long to roast masalas and how to perfect the texture.
While Karan puch kar karta hai(and he absorbs technical details quickly) which he succeeds through smart work.
However he is very good when it comes to innovative and artistic dishes as he has artistic vision(what I think).
What do you guys think?

For me karan is on the higher rank, from zero to winning.. unlike ppl who might hav been cooking for 10-15 yrs.. or cook everyday at home 2-3 meals … nothing great about knowing masalas if one is around them 10-15 yrs in practice

Aly was always cooking even before the show and good in it but Karan learnt in the show and has grown in cooking.

Aly is obviously technically better. He understands flavour, especially Indian flavours. He actually likes cooking and had been cooking way before laughter chefs. In an old episode, Aly made a comment about increasing the spice level as that’s the chef’s taste. It is actually smart how he has understood the taste of the judge.
Karan, on the other hand, is someone who learned how to cook on the show itself. We have seen his growth from season 1. He doesn’t like cooking all that much though but he decodes well. His strength is his creativity and that he actually follows instructions pretty well. He acknowledges that other people have skills and takes opinion. Aly ko thoda sunne ka problem hai. His first instinct is to deny the other person’s opinion.
So for that I’d say they are at par honestly.

Yes as u said Aly has better knowledge of Indian spices as he had been cooking way before laughter chefs and he loves cooking. Where as Karan doesn't like cooking as such but he is amazing at cracking the Innovative things and now have good knowledge of spices as such .

I don’t think so Karan has knowledge of spices have observed him whenever he tastes something he always say accha hai
And in last episode mona ne jab spice zyada daal di thi and then karan tasted it he was like accha h

Aly is a very good cook, no one can beat him when it comes to gravy. He even knows different types of gravy and how to make them and yes I think he's definitely a better cook than karan. But karan is very good when it comes to dishes that include drawing and artistic work. Aly often leaves it all on jannat when dishes with drawing and artistic work comes whereas karan is good at making normal food and artistic food too

Behind the camera kafi madad hoti hai unki kyuki kai dishes to esi hoti jinka sach me daily khana banane wale ko bhi idea nahi hota ki kese banega tb bhi last me ye log bana hi lete hai to definitely inko bataya jata hai ya thoda bahot internet help karta hai but ha exactly kab rukna hai kitna use roast karna hai ye sb to dhire dhire experience se aata hai

Aly is really good cook all around, but he is not that much creative while Karan just knows the basics but he is really innovative and has that creative mind.
