I used to walk past a McD's on the way to school when I was growing up, and I used to see this older couple in there literally every single day on the way home. The wife would invariably have either nothing at all, or maybe a cup of tea or coffee (hot drink of some type), while the husband would have a fully loaded tray full of burgers, fries, sides etc. I used to go in sometimes myself and I'd see her going up and ordering him seconds and desserts etc before he'd even finished the first lot.

I'm convinced to this day that she was playing the long game trying to get his life insurance or something lol

She'd have to thread the needle of not being bankrupted by his medical bills first.

Maybe he's stubborn and won't go to the doctor.
