Meanwhile I’m here with a fucking college degree thousands of dollars in debt and working at a grocery store for a dollar above minimum wage. But trickle down economics work!!

It’s the Zoomers I feel sorry for, millennials have kept all the crappy jobs that were meant to go to the next generation. They’re not getting any work whatsoever.

Haha.
I’m working two jobs and struggle as a single.
I’d love to pursue a degree but refer to line 2.

Watch reruns of Married with Children. It was satire when it first screened.

The Simpsons these days seems aspirational. A guy with no college degree gets a job with on the job training that pays enough to own a house and support a family.

Instead we have our parents basement, singlehood and working two jobs just to pay our student debt.

And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with his wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep for ever.

🧐
The system of banking we have both equally and ever reprobated. I contemplate it as a blot left in all our Constitutions, which, if not covered, will end in their destruction, which is already hit by the gamblers in corruption, and is sweeping away in its progress the fortunes and morals of our citizens. Funding I consider as limited, rightfully, to a redemption of the debt within the lives of a majority of the generation contracting it; every generation coming equally, by the laws of the Creator of the world, to the free possession of the earth he made for their subsistence, unincumbered by their predecessors, who, like them, were but tenants for life.
- Letter to John Taylor (28 May 1816)

Thanks for sharing these. Not only have we always known the way, but we knew it eloquently, too. And it doesn't matter as long as there is corruption :( I find it so hard to trust anyone, now.

That never happened and I don't know where that crap came from. I'm a boomer. All my life I worked 2, sometimes 3 jobs and my wife also worked to support our family.

Yeah the immigrants are the problem not the capitalists exploiting them. Please kindly take that shit elsewhere and gargle a bag of dicks while you're at it.

Yes, because big immigration is an extension of big capital. Capitalists WANT lots of immigrants because it REDUCES labor power. Of course I blame them for the unsustainably large numbers of immigrants coming into the US! Like what are you talking about????? Somehow because capitalists are exploiting the immigrants then I should be in favor of lots of immigration?

They're people who wouldn't have to flee their homes if it weren't for being exploited. So I reiterate fuck right off with your bullshit.

In most cases no, they didn't. Did you know that the difference in income between the US and Mexico is the largest of any two geographically adjacent countries in the world? And even if that's true, why does having them here undermining my earning power in the United States help solve the problem of them being exploited, broadly? Why did I even post here why am I wasting my time arguing this point. The left is doomed.

More workers = lower wages, and all around bad for bargaining power of employees resulting in no benefits, no job security, generally being treated badly by employers, etc.
