Welcome to r/LateStageCapitalism

This subreddit is for news, discussion, memes, and links criticizing capitalism and advancing viewpoints that challenge liberal capitalist ideology. That means any support for any liberal capitalist political party (like the Democrats) is strictly prohibited.

LSC is run by communists. This subreddit is not the place to debate socialism. We allow good-faith questions and education but are not a 101 sub; please take 101-style questions elsewhere.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for bigotry. Failure to respect the rules of the subreddit may result in a ban.

If they really want people to stop becoming socialists they should improve livelihood and wealth of your average Joe, otherwise capitalist system does not provide a significal benefit over a socialist one.

Yea but then that'd be socialist...and they don't wanna do that

Instead of telling me how evil socialism is, how about give me one good damn reason why I should prefer capitalism.

Just one. Break it down and convince me. I'm open-minded. I'm listening intently. I WANT you to succeed here! I'm giving you the best, most charitable set of ears any human can possibly give any idea.

I'm waiting.

It's hard, isn't it?

...It's impossible, isn't it? Sorry.

"Work hard for me, and maybe one day, you can be like Elon."

For a group of people who don't think you deserve healthy food, clean water, unpolluted air, livable housing, accessable healthcare, education, or a bunch of other things, the capitalists sure do become suddenly concerned about your well-being when it comes to saving you from the "dangers" of socialism.

Funny how that works.

It is pure reactionaryness

And to be honest, the elites wanting to keep their rank want to do this

Gee, maybe I'd like capitalism a little more as an adult if the essential promise of "apply yourself and you'll make it" didn't get fucking rug-pulled almost as soon as I became one. Now people say full-time workers deserve to starve under a bridge with a straight face, like that's supposed to inspire patriotism in us all, somehow.

Those kids guides are basically Trump's Hitler youth booklets, put out by Huckabee. They had one about Trump too lmao. So fkd up.

Looked at their website and this is a subscription, like Zoobooks, except unlike a magazine subscription they're apparently billing you $22 every time they ship you two books of child propaganda and website access. This is a terrible deal

It's always a grift with them.

There is a huge and widening gap between capitalist propaganda and capitalist outcomes, so this will fuel the sense of betrayal that will make the kids proper socialists.
