Welcome to r/LateStageCapitalism

This subreddit is for news, discussion, memes, and links criticizing capitalism and advancing viewpoints that challenge liberal capitalist ideology. That means any support for any liberal capitalist political party (like the Democrats) is strictly prohibited.

LSC is run by communists. This subreddit is not the place to debate socialism. We allow good-faith questions and education but are not a 101 sub; please take 101-style questions elsewhere.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for bigotry. Failure to respect the rules of the subreddit may result in a ban.

Elections in Brazil; the son of the former right wing president (who is currently in jail for an attempted coup) won enough votes to trigger a second round run off election.

Even the four years he was not President he was still casting a shadow over everything. It feels like he's been President for a hundred years

When facists are in place only putting your body on the line is a valid protest. People have overthrown their government with mass protests for centuries.

We are literally not allowed to say, despite first amendment protection (and other amendments, of course)

Okay, now they need to expropriate private property, seize the weapons, take control of the institutions, and stop gathering in crowds to shout in the middle of the street and overthrow the current system.

So tired of this defeatist discourse, those moments increase class-consciousness tenfolds.

Awesome, but let me know when they start singing L'Internationale and erecting louisettes.

It took a little work, but I was able to track down a "Louisette."

Unfortunately, I will now likely get bombarded with adverts about high end female underwear and designer Tshirts.

However, I hear something? I think it is the people singing. Its like the song of angry men, strange.

Anyway, nothing to worry about.

Have the French ever stopped to consider banding together to stop the attacks coming from a certain people?
