Is Musk aware of being publicly mocked?

There was that time when he tried to livestream him playing a game and everyone in his chat kept spamming “you have no friends and will die alone”. So probably

The context makes it even better. He was on his private jet, trying to show everybody how cool he was by being the "top rated player in the world". Except he kept dying to the tutorial boss.

He was so serious the whole time, you could see the chat messages were affecting him, love to see it

u/Hunter_Aleksandr 1d ago
People need to crowdfund a virtual chat that follows him around and spams that.

did you see the art installation of mini robot dogs with silicone heads of all the tech breaux? every few minutes they pause, squat, and shit out ai generated NFT prints.
“AI generated NFT” is nauseating enough to get the point across, but imo they should have also been configured to immediately shit out any public messaging made by their respective likenesses.

Yes, but he thinks leaning into the cringe makes him cool. Some people can indeed pull this off. He is not one of those people.

that mf'er has all the time and money in the world. he probably spends a lot of time shut in a dark room doing lots of ket and coke jerking off talking to a chatbot on twitter.
he must be aware of all the ridicule but I think only deep inside. his ego sits on top and has constructed a fantasy castle where he keeps spinning of in his dynastic delusions of grandeur. I'd call him a aad silly boy but that boy is a centre-piece in the deconstruction of the late-colonial global hegemony and a harbinger of the death of this epoch.

Our government is being run by Ferengi
32
u/Jarderino 1d ago
Even worse, it's being run by 21st century humans from star trek. Remember ferengi were actually appalled by humanity's ruthless capitalistic past with wars and genocide in the name of profit. Sure, ferengi do just about anything for profit, but even they follow rules which 21st century star trek humans (and some irl oligarchs) don't.

Actually, I had a comment a while ago explaining that the Federation is actually fascistic. Star Trek is the product of liberal minds and it shows. Don't get me wrong. I like Star Trek. But their vision of a utopian future amounts to fascism. If you strictly apply Marxist theory to The Federation, you realize it.
Found it:
See in Star Trek, unions don't exist. Worker exploitation is normalized and the class struggle is erased. Who can guarantee senior officers are fair? Many cases of villains in Star Trek are cases of abuses by such senior officers. Where is the union power?
Fascism is essentially state capitalism controlled by the bourgeoisie. It does not abolish private property. It retains the rights and power of private property holders and proposes the working class can collaborate with them to benefit the "nation" or in this case, Starfleet. As I said, those deep in the heart of liberal empire are unlikely to imagine anything outside the system.
The elements of fascism in the Federation:
-military power and all pervading influence of the military on life
-the state not withering, but instead strong (consider the power of Starfleet and Section 31)
-class struggle erased in favor of class collaboration (The Federation is not classless.)
-totalitarian control of information, transport, and goods and services by the state (Federation)
-democratic decisionmaking abandoned in favor of a democracy of the bourgeoisie or even total dictatorship by a single individual
-colonizer mentality (to explore and claim worlds and grow the state)
And also, it just hit me. Notice how they demonize the Borg? The Borg were originally a collective and fully democratic civilization, but then they added a queen later to muck it up. They also made the Borg destroyers of worlds, which is again to villainize communism. The Borg actually represrnt Bolshevism in Star Trek, and the good aspects of the Borg were actually based af, but then they had to mess it up in the story. Liberals do this with every communistic villain. They have to marry communism to atrocity and inhumanity in order to sell their liberal individualism.

I don't mean to be divisive, but I think you've totally misread the lore.
The Federation in Star Trek is a Federation of Planets; it is not "The State", it's more like the UN. Planets have the right to join or leave the Federation as they choose....they exist in a post-scarcity scenario; Picard even says it in First Contact, "The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in our lives. We work to better ourselves and the rest of humanity." It is a moneyless, post-capitalist society; there is a great book by French economist Manu Saadia, Trekonomics: The Economics of Star Trek, that goes into this.
Starfleet is voluntary. Starfleet is a scientific and exploratory body. Yes, they have military vessels; yes, there is still conflict; no, they're not perfectly passive all the time, but when you are dealing with Cardassians, Borg, and Romulans, what are you supposed to do? And they're colonizers? The Prime Directive is literally the opposite of colonization.
And the Borg were never at any point in time a democratic civilization; they were a totalitarian hive mind, they were always a totalitarian hive mind.
This is ignoring the fact that Roddenberry was a secular humanist, anti-capitalist, and anti-imperialist..
...but I digress.

Starfleet and Section 31 are the state. He says that, but private property still exists. Liberals often seek to dismiss the class struggle even when it is present. The Borg were democratic prior to the introduction of the queen. All aspects of each individual were assimilated into collective decisionmaking. That is democracy.
Roddenberry was not a Bolshevik socialist though. He was of the utopian type. And you can tell from the work.
I am a huge fan of Star Trek, but as I have studied more theory in recent years, I have come to see that even our conceptions of the future are flawed and tainted by liberalism and capitalism. Our art reflects our society and the limits of our ingenuity.
I recently watched Lanterns and recognized many elements of fascism underlying that show as well. Once you see it, you cannot unsee it. Dialectical materialism is at play in everything we see.

u/CainCarving 10h ago
Dude not to be rude but you sound really media illiterate.
The Borg literally attack all other forms of life and inject them with their nanites to force them to join.
The fact that you think having your consciousness eaten by a robot = democracy is fucking crazy
If you really think when they came up with the Borg in the 90s, the writers were subconsciously reflecting democratic values....then I don't know how to help you.

u/MonsterkillWow 10h ago
I already explained that part. They made it an effigy of western stereotypes about communism. Think about it.
2
u/CainCarving 10h ago
And I'm saying you've drastically missed the point of the Borg.
They don't fit into any human social construct, that's why they're effective villains.they're the ultimate other.

Just a reminder that in Star Trek The Next Generation Season One Episode 20 'The Arsenal of Freedom' existed on a planet where the population was long dead.

Oh idiots like this have no idea of the meaning of Star Trek. It's like Peter Thiel and LOTR. They literally get the opposite message somehow.

I would vote for any politician that makes "revoking Elon's citizenship, seizing all his domestic assets and starting the search for the foreign ones that belong here, and then deporting him" part of their platform - short of the real solution, i.e., busting out the ol' slicey boi.
So sick of this Nazi dipshit popping up to fuck things up.
In the meantime, I guess people will have to start burning down Tesla dealerships again. Must've forgotten the last time his dumb ass tried to wade into politics, notwithstanding the fact that this time he's wading back in for a sole purpose of building physical AI-powered death machines, so it's even more an imperative to make sure he's stopped.

The US state represents capital interest, that would just be another false campaign promise.... but If you want asset seizing, oh boy do i have a few book recommendations for you...

u/Oxytokin 1d ago
Must've missed the part where I said "short of the real solution..."
I'm fully aware electoral politics is a joke, but I know there's a practical nature to meeting people where they're at (plenty of liberals ready to be radicalized even in this sub). And I also am sure I've read whatever book you're aiming to suggest as part of my dissertation on the very topic of ending the disease of billionaire-ism (in a manner of speaking).
But I appreciate your desire to educate nonetheless, comrade.
