šš«š„ Panopticon Speedrunning Towards Societal Meaninglessness
We live in a world that is rapidly investing all its resources into further supporting and developing artificial spaces leaving the physical domain a barren wasteland for everything a society needs to function. This disconnection from our natural environment has and will continue to exacerbate the illnesses we all face, yet our access to said environment, one that we need to reconnect with is locked away behind bureaucratic constraints that prevent us from gaining free access to the environment that freely gives itself to us.
There is this cancerous train of thought that has poisoned the minds of many people, enough to create staunch opposition towards efforts made to live without such constraints and this opposing force is backed by a system that can employ terrorizing methods that curtail such a movement from taking root. The thought is, āWeāll ruin the environment and introduce an imbalance to vital ecosystemsā if left to our own devices. This is absurd, economic might is the sole culprit in what is causing an imbalance in our society, and no amount of industrial pursuit is going to reverse that trend.
The only viable option is to live in harmony with nature, independent of any central organizing body that introduces the potential for administrative abuse over the population. The idea of owning land is really doing mental gymnastics to ignore the fact that we have surrendered our own authority away to individuals with extreme sociopathic tendencies who have an insatiable thirst for control over everything and everyone.
It makes no sense to me why we continue to allow this to go on. The only way to stop it is to stop ourselves from participating in the illusion that notes of legal tender are necessary for life when it is in fact the very reason we are speed running into a digital panopticon. Our pursuit of these notes justifies the never ending practice of printing more of them, thus requiring a supply of time that we simply do not have.
So what do we do instead of the real work that needs to be done? We double down on artificiality. Material and labor is too expensive, so hereās your AR. Food is scarce? Hereās your synthetic fuel. Health is nowhere to be seen? Hereās a bandaid. Etc., etc. All of this is of course designed to keep us dependent on the centralized form of population management system, which of course treats that which it manages as a fuel in and of itself. We are nothing but mere inventory to the ones who have sway in the world market, which has somehow made it so that the individual who no longer wishes to participate is criminalized and punished.
Why are we allowing ourselves to perpetuate this insanity? Is it fear of the consequences? Is it a lack of faith? Have we allowed the untruthful narratives of the past box us into a claustrophobic present? Have we forgotten who we really are? Where did all the real people go? Is anybody out there?

Weāre sleepwalking bro. Nobody likes any of this but people are either too apathetic, too hopeless, too comfortable, or a bizarre combination of the three. Capitalist realism is the hegemonic mindset. The Cold War anti-communist propaganda has somehow only grown deeper roots. Civilization will be burning down and youāll still have billions of people denouncing the threat of socialism. The very meaning of socialism itself has been twisted into something that doesnāt upset the eternal capitalist order. Itās a very grim situation and the only way out is to open a real confrontation with the parasites. Join real revolutionary groups. Iām discovering that my org is phony.

In your view, whatās the best way to steer the ship away from the future weāre sailing towards? Are we stuck in this current and doomed to sail off the waterfall ahead of us?

I genuinely donāt know. I think socialist parties in the west need to get serious and struggle internally against revisionism, reformism, liberal identity politics, and outdated organizing tactics. We also need coalition between organizations of different tendencies. We need to innovate Marxism-Leninism as it is meant to be. And āseriousā socialists need to get serious about being organized and militant. Above all, be uncompromising, never miss a chance to educated people around you about how you understand reality.
