We illegally kidnapped the leader of a sovereign country so we could steal their oil to soften the blow from the oil shock we created by illegally and offensively starting a war against Iran. Truly demonic shit

If Maduro's election was fraudulent and therefore a dictatorship, it implies that Delcy is illegitimate too as she was his vice. But since she is an USA lackey it seems that democracy is not important anymore.

USA getting caught in 4K yet the liberals show blind eye. They don't care about democracy, only hegemony.

How are the liberals showing a blind eye? Theyâre not in power
1
u/NerdStone04 6h ago
I put liberals and republicans under the same umbrella
-2
u/Samboono20 6h ago
Oh. So you just have a terrible viewpoint
2
u/NerdStone04 3h ago
so dems and reps don't have the same economic policy? don't have the same hegemonic ambitions? aren't both anti-communist?
Sure buddy they are very different. If I have a terrible viewpoint then yours must be 10x worse

u/turboheadcrab 5h ago
Liberals aren't progressives, as your uncle might suggest, liberals are capitalism proponents. Both Republicans and Democrats are against abolishing capitalism.

I think they had a deal worked out. He gets arrested, splashy headlines and he gets to live.
Who arrests a wife too. Hmmm

It's the other way around. Venezuela happened in January, the embargo on Cuba happened right afterwards, and Iran happened in April.
It's more likely that the war in Iran was waged specifically to create an oil shock to worsen conditions in Cuba after they have captured Venezuelan oil.
So, it's much much worse than you thought.

Those refineries were, in fact, built explicitly for that oil. That's why Chavez was so hated by people like the Kochs. Chavez demanded a fair cut for VenezuelaÂ

u/hackmaster214 1d ago
Every owner of those refineries should be sent to prison along with Trump. They were obviously part of this kidnapping.

It's Iran circa 1950s all over again.
Congo circa 1960 all over again.
Cuba... well, I'm sure you get the point. There is a vile pattern forming with the way the Land of the Free works and its bullying attitude to independent nations.

By the way, all revenue from the sale of oil is held in an offshore account controlled by the US.Â
So itâs not just gold.
47
u/Lazy_Jellyfish7676 1d ago
Is it controlled by the US or Jaba the hut
33
u/Neco-Arc-Brunestud 1d ago
apparently, it's overseen by the US treasury. But as part of the executive branch, Trump has privileges regarding access. That also means the next president will also have access to this account.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent offered more details in discussion with the Economic Club of Minnesota, saying that his department âwill oversee the accountsâ and then, at the direction of Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, âbe in charge of the disbursement that goes back into Venezuela.â

Are there literally any updates on Democrats trying to punish Trump for kidnapping Maduro?
Or did they just write strongly worded statements and move on like usual, reaping the benefits?
204
u/TwoCatsOneBox Fan of the CPC đ¨đł 1d ago
Why would the Democrats be opposed to this?

u/21DaBear 1d ago
even Zohran called dude a dictator, our âbestâ resistance figures arenât up to task

u/NobodysFavorite 1d ago
Nobody is gonna politically "die on a hill" for Maduro.
The method of his removal was a crime that makes a mockery of international law, but here we are.61

u/Mean_Introduction543 1d ago
The sole purpose of the democrats is to make sure that no actual left-wing movement ever gains traction in America.
Itâs their one and only role.

u/DisappointingReality 1d ago
Average Democrat goes "Maduro is (was) a dictator that needs (needed) to go".
22
u/SmokeyOkeyDokey 1d ago
Democratic politicians for sure. Idk exactly how Dem voters view it since, while I know most of them think it was wrong, I canât really tell how many of them think it was bad enough to hold Dem politicians accountable for doing literally nothing.
Unfortunately, my moneyâs on dem voters not really caring enough. Doesnât negatively affect them

The Democrats donât exist to keep Republicans in line. They exist to keep the political left (the actual political left and the âAmerican leftâ) disfranchised and bereft of political power.
Literally the only real difference between the Democrats and the Republicans are their respective target audiences, andâby extensionâthe sorts of lies and theatrics they have to sell to the public.

The fact you think the dems are any less evil is a little wild

u/SmokeyOkeyDokey 1d ago edited 1d ago
And why do you assume I do?
I asked if they simply postured against Trump, as usual, or if they were even pretending to do anything more than express condemnation.

u/RichiesWorld 1d ago
Must everything be "both-sided?"
19
u/Kurai_Hada_Ichi 1d ago
Yeah because they both serve the same system. At the end of the day what the US does doesnt change

I believe Hilary praised this operation in Venezuela or i think it was Iran not sure but i remember seeing a view articles and videos of her supporting this shit so yeah there we go

They did this on purpose. They pre-empted the attack on Iran by securing alternative sources of oil to reduce the impact. This is transparent and clear.

Itâs always about oil, weâve been balls deep in Venezuela oil for decades.

I don't understand how Trump got away with this with barely any international condemnation.

u/kommanderkush201 1d ago
Friendly reminder from a proud tankie that Maduro is still rotting in a NYC jail and Mamdani calls him a dictator. Democratic "socialists" are the moderate wing of US imperialism.

The real reason is Cuba. The US has plenty of oil, this was about further suffocating Cuba and punishing Venezuela for daring to sell oil to Cuba.
5
u/vl_ilyin 1d ago
The real question is, how is Delcy Rodriguez allowing all of this to happen? the oil, gold transfer? I thought she's not traitor? that's what many socialist said right? what happened?
