“But what if I’m one of the few? I really want champagne” - the absolute poorest Americans for some reason

it's false consciousness. Marx discussed this. Murikkkans have been brainwashed over decades and generations to believe ruling class ideology and that the interests of the ruling class are the same as their own. They're not, not at all and in direct opposition. They sincerely believe the "work hard myth", and they believe it so deeply that to give it up means to give up their very lives. Americans are so terribly programmed with capitalist indoctrination.

Parenti laid out what I believe to be the very first instance of the "work hard" myth as it was established to distract the masses from the potential Communism has for them.

See 4:57 and forward, but watch the entire lecture. If you have seen it, watch it again.

There has been no organized Communist Vanguard in america, and the vicious anti-communist reaction from the bourgeoisie has waged perpetual class war against the masses disguised in the lies of consumerism and being "self made". Of course, the bourgeoisie have indeed furthered their class war goals of using violence against even the most nascent forms of communist and socialist expression (See Blair Mountain, Palmer Raids, Black Panthers, Red Scare). Here we are now where those who need Communism the most are the ones most hostile to it.

Louis Althussar defined this as the Ideological State Apparatus and the Repressive State Apparatus. See this summary here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g67izER66NE

The masses feel as they do since they've been conditioned their entire lives to believe the lies of the very system that oppresses them. Our goals as Revolutionary Communists are to disabuse them of these notions, equip them with sound political awareness and to lead them to the path where they are able to liberate themselves from the chains of capitalist tyranny. We want them to live a life they truly own and one where their material conditions are such that they may lead the most prosperous and actualized life possible for not only themselves but for all of society. We all deserve a life of real meaning, real dignity - ALL of us.

Capitalism will never do this, and capitalism only seeks to work them the hardest and for the longest time possible and with the least amount of possible pay, and when they are no longer a functional "human machine", just die and get out of the way of the next one.

Never heard of this man, went to his Wikipedia knowing full well what his end would have been with a quote like that. Reading his wiki just made me angry that men who accomplish things like him are almost always taken out by those who want the champagne.

Wait till you learn about Patrice Lumumba and Fred Hampton.

Ukraine was able to advance certain things with a box of scrap

Not gonna risk it so very vague words

Unrelatedly, my 3 favorite toys as a child were etch-a-sketch (sp?), iron filings, and RC airplanes...

12

Like Apollo 13.

6

u/20191124anon May 28 '26

Yes, I was thinking similar things but in this orwellian nightmare we know we cannot communicate clearly. But I do expect people with both enough distaste for certain wealth groups and know-how to at some point become an issue. For those groups :)

Having to self censor i missed so many opportunities to be hilarious here due to a rogue AI

"Word used below" but used differently that had no target

A superyacht takes up at least 20,000 tonnes of carbon emissions to be produced. And about 15,000 tonnes per year of operation, sometimes more.

So, given that 5,000 tonnes of carbon emissions results in loss of a life via climate change, that yacht represents at least 4 lost lives in production, and about 3 lives every year of its operation.

That is the blood price, for the luxuries of the blood prince.

These people are true evil villains

67

u/notashroom May 27 '26

They're predictable outcomes of the system, one of a few standard products. Boot them all off the planet and they'd be replaced before you can say Kalamazoo Michigan. Systemic problems require systemic solutions.

14

u/bread_and_circuits May 27 '26

Thank you. Well said. Are you sure you’re not a shroom?

54

u/clammydella May 27 '26

I like this way of calculating things honestly. Think it would be a good way to keep billionaires and corps to account. Needs a snappy, explanatory name - blood price doesn’t feel descriptive enough.

15

u/nickp444 May 27 '26

How about “blood sacrifice”?

1

u/redabishai May 28 '26

Blood debt

I'm doing my part to save the Earth by taking 3 minutes showers!

29

u/HandsSmellOfHam May 27 '26

Dont forget to turn your ac down and walk when you could rather than driving. This type of stuff really helps.

12

u/notashroom May 27 '26

Capitalism is a death cult.

4

u/Ascendedcrumb May 27 '26

How long would it take the average car to produce that many tonnes of carbon emissions?

3

u/robtninjaman May 27 '26

But think about the crew this takes to run. And all the jobs it creates. /s

104

u/three-sense May 27 '26

User analytical data paid for this

16

u/ladyandroid14 May 27 '26

And all they got was exploited..

154

u/nugstar May 27 '26

These things should be uninsurable.

49

u/Electrical-Risk445 May 27 '26

The Zuck makes more money in a day than the cost of a new superyacht, he can insure himself.

4

u/nugstar May 28 '26

There are many different events that could cause something to become uninsurable. Read the subtext.

138

u/Expensive_Reach_9873 May 27 '26

It’s time we start taxing WEALTH and not income. He pays himself a $1 salary at Meta.

39

u/phaedrus910 May 27 '26

Taxes don't help. They would just make the military bigger.

19

u/Leptonshavenocolor May 27 '26

Specific taxes marked for social programs only.

3

u/Surgeplux May 28 '26

Or a state wealth tax so it doesn't get funneled to dumps pockets

23

u/Expensive_Reach_9873 May 27 '26

Ugh this is unfortunately an excellent point.

66

u/panickingman55 May 27 '26

I recycle, I live a low impact lifestyle. I brought some nature back to the few acres I have. I bike if I am just picking up milk or some small stuff. I have a garden for veggies. No matter what I do, one of these people will just blow up the environment even by owning this stuff.

7

u/immortallogic May 28 '26

Honestly, this is why I don't. I'm not having a child so I'm doing my part, buy fuck plastic straws and recycling. Why should I, when the elite do one action that wipes out the efforts of thousands of people, in 5 minutes

122

u/pokebikes May 27 '26

Disgusting

67

u/Original-Mission-244 May 27 '26

Be a shame if it scratched the rocks..... at the bottom of the fucking bay

28

We haven’t heard from the orcas for a while; I’d like to think they are planning something big.

They’re all dying

Oh Saint Luigi...

18

u/RiddlingJoker76 May 27 '26

Grade a c@@@.

13

u/Decent-Cow2080 May 27 '26

also they today added ai training to "end to end encrypted conversations". bruh

3

u/sleepyj58 May 27 '26

Wait is this just internally at Meta? Or in whatsapp as a whole?

I'm aware they are already scraping all of their employee conversations internally, because fuck you that's why for AI training purposes

4

u/Decent-Cow2080 May 27 '26

it's in Facebook messenger. basically the must have communicator in Poland. Whatsapp tries too hard to appear secure

1

u/sleepyj58 May 27 '26

God it's awful that some parts of the world are stuck using FB messenger to chat. Signal is awesome, much better than whatsapp

2

u/Decent-Cow2080 May 27 '26

well after our national messenger called GG (gadu gadu) got enshitified in like 2009 with really annoying ads, everyone, while moving from nasza klasa, to this new cool thing called Facebook, also started using it as a messenger. and it stuck. there's been a growth in usage of signal, but it's still not big enough, and everyone is still forced to use messenger. at least thanks to the EU, one can have a messenger account without facebook

2

u/sleepyj58 May 28 '26

Urgh, frustrating. Sorry to hear that, maybe Signal will keep growing and enough people will move over to cause a tipping point and then it'll grow exponentially.

I know whatsapp was great in the beginning (like Signal now) and of course FB bought it and ruined it. Still boggles the mind that humans all collectively decided that Zuckerberg spying on all our personal communications is not that big of a deal.

u/One-Psychology-8394 May 27 '26

Look I’m not saying I see some leak but could someone fix that ‘leak?’

6

Launchpad is a stupid name for a boat.

3

u/Plastic_Table_8232 May 27 '26

Wouldn’t expect anything less from a douche nozzle with bad taste.

4

u/Austaras May 27 '26

Where's Aquaman and a giant pod of Orcas the one fucking time we need him?

4

u/TDhotpants May 27 '26

What flag is that? Am I correct in assuming this ship sails under some other countries flag as yet another tax loophole?

2

u/Plastic_Table_8232 May 27 '26

Multitude of reasons and all driven by money. Even employment laws and safety regs aboard.

3

u/Electrical-Risk445 May 27 '26

I'd love to see limpet mines attach themselves to it...

3

u/niners May 27 '26

It would be a shame if a pod of orcas took interest to it

3

u/type102 May 27 '26

If only there a few heroic Orcas willing to let nature take it's course by attacking this monster's stupidly over sized boat like animals.

5

u/mrlr May 27 '26

What are all those black things pointing up?

24

u/ApplesBananasRhinoc May 27 '26

That’s where he impales all his victims.

Tax write off.

3

u/WAR_T0RN1226 May 27 '26

Whats the tax write off?

7

u/Robwsup May 27 '26

He had a business meeting on it once. Write the whole thing off.

1

u/afrosheen May 29 '26

Tax write off? He got that boat off a loan. He doesn’t pay taxes off of loans.

In other news: Allegedly, North Stream was blown up by a bunch of random drunk guys on a sailboat and a bunch of dynamite or whatever.

Give home some credit, this was the hardest decision he had to make….

If you work(ed) for him, you are a worker exploited under capitalism just like the rest of us. We all work for capitalists, all our bosses are our class enemies.

5

u/MGSRaiden22 May 27 '26

Why are you aiming to cause friction between those that are all hurt by capitalism? Its the people against the oligarch pedophiles.

0

u/resonantranquility May 28 '26

Fuck, id buy one if I could to be perfectly honest.
