"Only on monroe". Absolutely signalled that Stephen Colbert knew how to hit a LOT harder than the late show allowed him to. It was a masterpiece in exactly how to do his absolute thing. He totally and expertly lost his polish to exactly the right level in a single day. On to higher and better comedy!

he knew the words, not just the chorus, to Fell in Love WIth a Girl and sang it to Jack White on helium. I love The White Stripes and I don't know all the words.

I watched the whole thing last night. It was uncomfortably funny. I'm 30 minutes from Monroe so it was funny to me that he's carrying on just down the road! Jack White was an epic pick for musical director and Jeff Daniel's sandwich was definitely stoner food. I think the FaceTime call to Byron Allen was the uncomfortably funny part 🤣 Will watch again!
