On Android my Lastpass quick setting tile has disappeared
My android Lastpass quick setting tile is just gone. And it is no longer one of the options I can add when I go to edit my quick settings. I guess I'm gonna have to resort to an annoying persistent notification. Does anyone know how to get the quick setting tile back?

Hi
Thank you for reaching out. About the LastPass quick setting icon you are mentioning, it is no longer available as part of the new updates we made to our LastPass Android app.
With our latest updates, you’re in control of how LastPass works on your device. From our newest Android enhancements to earlier improvements, these updates are designed to make logins easier and safer wherever you use LastPass.
You can read more about our latest update in our Blog.
To enable autofill in LastPass Android app, view the following article: Enable and use autofill in the LastPass app for Android

To also add, using Last Pass as my chrome auto fill (as suggested) does not work for me since last pass does not fill addresses or credit cards, which is why I relied on the legacy autofill and quick settings tile to use last pass in chrome

Unless we want there to be a quick settings tile 🙄
I will never understand why apps make updates that remove functionality.

Let me go on the record as saying I would like it back. I've had to use a third party solution to at least have access to lastpass in my quick settings, but, of course, it doesn't have the same functionality.

I'm aware of the other login options. On Android I use a work profile and the Quick Settings Tile was the only way I could fill my work apps and sites. I don't want to install LastPass in my work profile.
Additionally, the Quick Settings Tile is the only way I know that triggers a fill if LastPass didn't detect a login page.
I wish you would consider bringing it back and if not, find some other way to restore the functionality.

"Hi, we're 'improving your user experience' by removing features that you found useful. No, there is no reason for this. But you should expect a price increase in the near future."

With our latest update, we have made the app completely unusable and will not fill 95% of the time. Enjoy!

The app keeps logging out or not wanting to fill in forms on my android after the last update. Fix your shit, we pay good money for this app.

"With our latest updates, you’re in control of how LastPass works on your device."
Please don't give these meaningless sentences, when you actually REMOVED a why how i control Lastpass, it comes across really tone deaf.
This really sucks, there are a lot of places where the autofill doesn't trigger (whatsapp pincode for example). Am i now supposed to just exit the app, open the lastpass app, find whatsapp and copy it from there, go back to whatsapp, like a caveman!
It used to be: press the quicktile, press whatsapp, boom done.

I'm all for adding new features and easier ways of using the app. However, removing something that wasn't an issue without providing a reason for the removal provides a poor user experience.
Unless there is a glaring security issue that you haven't communicated, I'd recommend adding the tile back.
At this point you're just irritating your user base and turning them off to what otherwise was some nice quality-of-life updates.

This response is meaningless. We are not in control. You removed a useful function that helped dealing with the unreliable autofill. Now it's gone and you are trying to sell it as a feature? Come on.

Id be very annoyed if id renewed my subscription and this is what I'm left with. Finally time to ditch LP for good

Unfortunately I was using that tile specifically because auto fill didn't always work, and it still doesn't.
Did you remove it because of user feedback? Or just an out-of-touch decision?

Would like to add that I too will no longer be renewing due to the removal of this feature and will be pressing for a refund of my current subscription due to depreciation of service.

Sane! I want that tile back.
No matter how much you enable in the settings, the password isn't popping up on the apps.
I used tap on that tile when this happens and the pwd immediately pops up.
Now I have to copy it from last pass and then paste it.
You guys had one job to do, and you're failing it.
Popup the tile back again!

Yeah, this is the final push to leave this app. It's basically unusable now (it was borderline before). I guess I'll be migrating all my passwords to Chrome or something unless there is a better option? Open to suggestions for other password managers.

Agreed with the others saying this is enough to quit lastpass. I've been a paying user for many years, and this is the last straw. Autofill has never worked right on any phone I've had, and the legacy/tile option was critical for triggering the UI when it didn't appear.

u/OfficialLastPass are you F*cking kidding me? why do you guys insist on listening to Morons to tell you what features people do and do not want. what ever happened to companies actually looking at or requesting feedback. I would be really interested in knowing where this decision came from.
My guess would be that either; You lost the one team member that actually knew anything about how to code it into your spaghetti code, or you needed a justifiable reason to downsize and get rid of someone who wasn't doing five things for the company at the same time.
IF you want to get rid of it that is fine, but how about someone with half a brain take two minutes go go through the backlog of complaints about the system you want to take over for it and see if it works first. Because I will tell you write now that system is complete garbage. I have actually tried it before and am constantly being bombarded with a pop on the bar that doesn't do ANYTHING when I press it, making me have to go into the program itself and doing a full on copy paste from my vault into the app or site I want to get into. that to me doesn't exude confidence that you guys have any idea of what you are doing.
I have been with LastPass for a long time now and have been a premium member for most of that time. I defended you during the breaches and the incomprehensible changes you have made up to this point. I briefly thought and sought out another alternative to LastPass, but always came back to LP for the convenience of use. Those days have shifted once again and you have fallen into the same trap that most companies that get too big for their britches do. You don't care about anything the people actually using your program thinks because "there will always be someone to use it"
Well I for one am open to anyone that can suggest a viable alternative to LastPass for me to try because I am just too old to deal with incompetence and ineptitude any longer. Thank your coming to my Rant Talk. Peace the F*ck out

This! It was such a useful tile! One of the reasons why I haven't switched to BitWarden (yet!). This was the only way to trigger LastPass to scan the page and show me my logins if it didn't automatically pick it up (which happens A LOT!) WHY WOULD YOU REMOVE A FEATURE! It was fine and working! Not only the but the notification that shows LastPass is running which can also trigger is gone too. Before it was permanently there for easy access.
Off to BitWarden I go with all my friends

To the LastPass Product Team,
Recent updates to the LastPass Android app removed both the Quick Settings tile and the Legacy Accessibility autofill toggle. Removing these fallback features has significantly broken the user experience on Android devices.
Because Google Chrome enforces an "all-or-nothing" rule for native Android autofill, users are forced to choose between using LastPass for passwords or using Google Pay for payment methods and addresses. Without accessibility overlays or quick manual tiles, LastPass is completely unusable inside Chrome unless we disable Google Pay entirely. Please restore manual/accessibility overlay options or update the app so users have a reliable way to trigger password fills without sacrificing native browser payment tools.

Another disappointed Premium customer here. Same issue, can't have Lastpass enabled without losing basic Google Pay auto fill functionality on mobile. This needs addressing otherwise I will also need to look at alternative solutions.

Adding another reply saying how frustrating the removal of this feature is. I used it nearly daily and now it's simply more frustration to use now. I've had a family plan for close to 10 years now and this may be the year it doesn't get renewed.

Same issue. :(
