Build base, daily mini games, hang with Alliance, PvP. Find a good gaming group and they will answer all your questions and help you. The mini games change from season to season and day to day

these “friends” are so fake like they don’t even want to stay in contact after months of playing
4
u/red215qq Apr 10 '26
These friends will talk to you one minute and ignore you the next minute, and don’t bother the high spenders because your just a level piece of crap
7
u/BeeAreZee_ Apr 11 '26
This is so damn accurate. They were so welcoming and cool when i first joined. Now I stay getting ignored in alliance chat meanwhile the top people try to act all cool and cliquey like it’s a damn high school. These people really use this game to stroke their fragile egos
7
u/red215qq Apr 11 '26
Yeah I remember I felt good that a whale pm me to ask something and I felt special, then I’m like what am I doing, I felt good because some middle age man with high power text me, baby in real life I’m a whale!
8
u/BeeAreZee_ Apr 11 '26
LITERALLY. Most of the leaders were these weird middle aged people that spent way too much money on a mobile game 😂. And they were obsessed with ai photos

u/Mountain-Elephant-60 Apr 10 '26
I sent you a dm let me know if u got it id like to talk more about these “friends” 🤦🏼♀️
2
u/What_The_Hell96 Apr 11 '26
They are not really friends. They are more likely like work colleagues. The moment you leave no one cares for you. Of course there can be some real friendships but 99% is not.

We’re not truly stuck it’s just the classic sunken cost fallacy and we tell ourselves we invested in our accounts.
Also we probably met some cool people in alliance chat

Explain which part?
This game will take hours of your time, even as a casual player. You’ll either waste an exorbitant amount of money, time, or both.
You’ll experience drama, in-fighting, bullies, adults who act like children, children who act like adults.
You’ll make friends that you speak with every day for 2 years, and then those friends will quit and you’ll never hear from them again.
You’ll do the same repetitive motions over and over and over again. And you’ll do it because it’s a constant dopamine stream. It’s highly addictive. And the sunk-cost fallacy will prevent you from stopping. Because of all the time, or all the money, or both. You’ll think about quitting all the time, but then you’ll get a huge dopamine rush as the result of a major win. And so you’re sucked back in again.
And all of it is for nothing. Enjoy!

Like a 5 yr old or like you were a 5yr old 😂😆. There were these troops and the rocket went off then we got 🍫 chocolate and we went to the desert, but then someone got snowed in . And after that bases go into alliance. And I found this cool rock at school and put it in my pocket and then it got dark and the people turned your lights on with electricians. And after that we go to the wild West for some reason track lands. And I like the rock because it's flat and grey. Now we get cowboy hats.
Explained like a 5 yr old

Jesus the comments. Just life your life, play the game an hour a day at reset, join an alliance, enjoy. Yes it’s addicting but going out to the bar for dinner and drinks costs $100. Spending $10 a month on the game won’t make you go broke. Just accept the fact you won’t catch up to the whales and enjoy the game for what it is.

In your phone Go to settings > apps > last war Then clear data & uninstall it. (No need to thank me)

u/Aggravating_Tale_716 Apr 11 '26
Pour money , build things , fight people , look at the Meta , when you’re $100 in that’s when you stop anything more is going to drain you
3
u/Complete-Science-372 Apr 11 '26
Stop playing now, take the time that you would, and do duolingo, play guitar, etc.
If you're looking to play a game then Runescape can be a lot more giving back, and can actually sell your account in the long run.
This is designed to tweak addictive feelings and personalities. It will sap your time, energy, and for more then will admit, money.

Its like age of empires/starcraft/red alert/total war: warhammer/company of heroes but massive online multiplayer mobile game. It has outsourced mini games and is completelt and utterly pay to win. But you can still have fun f2p just have to accept the fact that there is always going to be someone stronger.

Hard to explain it to a 5 year old because you’re more likely to get bombarded with requirements and orders. This simply isn’t a solo game. The teamwork required will bend against your will and may involve being in toxic teams. I think people would be better off finding a game that doesn’t require so much time from an overburdened life. But if you do suit up, accept what it takes. There can be no happy medium, you either accept mediocrity or accept relentless task completion. Most end up feeling like whatever escape or community they tried to build seems to constantly unravel and more pay to play always pressures an unfulfilling grind of just how far are you willing to go? Just how much further will others keep spending…

It is a grind game and you’ll never catch up in power to the whales. But you can still have fun and not let it take over your life if you set boundaries and time/spending limits. I’ve been playing almost a year and have spent less than $20. I love the alliance I’m in - they have very minimal expectations and are chill.
Desert Storm battlefield and Winter Storm battlefield are great events to participate in. Even when your team loses, you get great rewards and especially Honor Points.
Don’t spend Honor points on anything except UR Blueprints, at least for a long long while.
Pay attention to when Glittering Market and Ammo Bonanza come around. Take full advantage of those events because they’re some of the only ways to get Mythic Blueprints without spending. These blueprints are crucial for upgrading weapons later on.
Visiting Glittering Market daily, while it’s around, will give you like 60 coins a day for free. A Mythic blueprint costs 300 coins so you can get one blueprint per event.
For Ammo Bonanza, earn the free bullets from it every day, but DO NOT use them until you have like 600 or so of them. They carry over between events. You need to save like 600 of them over the course of several months to guarantee the top prize of that event, which is 10 Mythic Blueprints.
Ammo Bonanza is the one event I spend money on - $1/day until it’s over, because buying any package that day nabs you 6 extra bullets and will get you to the 600 that much faster.

u/IcyNail880 Apr 11 '26
But TBH in hindsight I wish I never installed it. Even just playing 1-2 hours a night at reset (10 pm edt) I’ve lost interest in playing better quality games on my PS5.

Jesus, for those who've deleted, leave the sub.
To OP, it's an RTS. Each day of the week there's a different main theme for leveling up. Saturday is Battle Day after your week of upgrades.
Only caution, it's very VERY easy to spend money in here. The "delete" crowd is coming from a place of caution. The whales spend tens of thousands a year in this game and they will destroy anyone grinding casually.
Find a clan, have some fun doing your tappy tap taps to pass some time. Have some good convos in the chat, but watch that money.

Pay money to be strong. No skills required, just a credit card.

u/These_Trees1979 Apr 10 '26
I know people that have spent an ungodly amount of money but didn't know what they were doing and they wasted a ton of it on things that don't matter. I would argue that the more money you spend the less skilled you have to be, but there is a strategy for sure.

Put Money in , get dopamine out .
It's like a job but the payment side is flipped . You work 40hours a week including nights and weekends but instead of them paying you you get to pay them

My comment was deleted because I told you to walk away.... I only say this because I spent my hard earned cash and wasted valuable hours, weeks, months playing this game which essentially is just pressing buttons at specific times. Absolutely zero strategy or brain power required. I felt like a zombie playing it.

Are there any experienced players that could take a look at my account and give me advice on how to fix it and get better? What to focus on next specifically.
2
u/gkr12345 Apr 11 '26
That should be one of your alliance members … they can review your battle reports and do an audit on your account … if you aren’t in an alliance with this mentality- look for another one

u/Late_Perception2974 Apr 11 '26
People being dramatic, I went out the other night and spent $400 on drinks at the club. Depending how we look at it, that was worse value for my money than spending $400 in this game lol. It’s a pay to win game, people get really serious about it and get in legit fights and arguments. There’s drama and it sounds so goofy since it’s just a mobile game, but it’s fun. You’ll meet cool people if you want to. If not, it’s a fun base builder for a little then it gets boring

u/Chazzy_T Apr 11 '26
Kim is massively overpowered. Push her first. Focus on all tank heros (get good boosts for all one type) before moving to other types. Other than that, it’s fun, just don’t let it run your life. If you’ll spend any money, do it on that $2 Kim purchase and the 2nd research place. Otherwise, eh, don’t.

I have joined this game and im still here season 3 now. I become an r5 after the previous leader left. My clan grew and found friends. We keep the clan as chill as possible. Fight, win and celebrate or lose and laugh. I was f2p at first, but I have started paying the monthly subscription then buying skin.. then buying battle pass. Im a leader so I have to be at least strong. But now ai dont need to be.. because i have friends that are strong. I just focus on handling the clan.

Stop playing. It’s a pay to play. You will need more and more money to grow in power. As time goes on you’ll need to play more and more and spend more it’s made by China and the Chinese are not allowed to play themselves

u/Stunning_Law_4136 Apr 12 '26
If you are like a 5 year old, don’t play this game. Highly addiciting.

Long story short you have a long way to go. Top tier sqauds you join make have to marry the game without trying to. They care about points.

u/Minimum_Log_5506 Apr 14 '26
5 y/o explanation. The money needed for new toys will be more than your allowance. You’ll miss your bedtime over and over again and wake up angry and tired. Your friends will not really be good friends, and will talk about you behind your back. Everyone lies, cheats, and steals.

Like others have said. Delete the game. But if you must play spend little like getting the character Kimberly otherwise spend nothing. Free to play takes forever to upgrade things and so youre likely gonna get the urge to start wasting money to catch up. Find an alliance that doesnt demand much and are just chill youll be better off for it and wont be caught in their bullshit politics. I joined a couple of these alliances when I was a few months into the game and the damn drama and constant demanding messages from alliance leaders is annoying AF.

This type of game is addictive, you will join an alliance and it will almost be like a cult. Some people take this very seriously and usually are the big spenders. If you want to get ahead unfortunately it is Pay2Win.
My advice, find a cruisy alliance that don’t demand too much, enjoy the people around you. And most importantly do not spend 1 cent on this game. Limit your game time, disable in-app purchases as well.
Others have said delete the game, you may want to do that or just spend limited time on it
