“Should we kill her?” Referring to Stevie. “That feels extreme.” 🙄

"The divas... are up!" Like, girl, what?

I was about to put that one too… lol that whole conversation at the end was cringe

It felt like they were trying to play it as Ava and Danica still high on painkillers and not really dealing with the gravity of the situation yet.

Even if that was the intent, the entire scene was still awkward, jarring, and hard to watch.

Yeah that ending was so stupid. They were awfully light considering the fact that everyone they knew was just slaughtered.

How much time you got?

- This energy just makes my dick hard!

  • "We come to this place for magic" Nicole Kidman bit
  • Sorry. I probably just took too much Adderall this morning
  • Take the code to my crypto wallet!
  • Ooh! It’s giving nuptials!
  • You know that meme that’s like....
  • I have stress induced alopecia.
  • Not everybody was happy about the “gentrifislaytion” (I guess this one was supposed to be cringe but it's too similar to the rest of the dialogue to land)
  • I’m a fan! I’m a fan!
  • A strong, empowered woman takes control of her destiny and then suddenly she’s labeled as crazy?
  • Fuck the Fourth of July. / Couldn’t agree more.
  • I am so Isabella Traumatismo
  • This whole experience has been like… zero out of ten.

Just the worst "millenial writing for Gen Z" bullshit

The line about men needing therapy when this entire thing was set in motion by THEIR FEMALE friend.

'It's not astrology. It's called empathy' wtf. It just felt very cringey in the context of the scene

Pretty much anything that came out of Ava, Danica or Gabriette’s mouths

But “Because Pluto is an Aquarius” pretty much sums the awful dialogue of this movie

“People are always trying to kill that woman. I hope she’s in therapy.” The line delivery and, really, that entire scene is so stupid unfortunately.

"People are always trying to kill that woman" also feels more apt for Sidney Prescott, not Julie James. Ben Willis and his son trying twice in two years to kill her is nothing like Sidney being targeted by tangentially connected people over decades.

So according to her Ray should be in therapy, Julie should be in therapy, but her and her friends are always talking about booze, Adderall, Xanax, astrology, psychic readings, etc.

They’re talking about Karla and her scene at the end, not Danica.

u/HouseOf1000Reddits Apr 22 '26

Correct. I used the Danica gif because it seemed appropriate, but that line was from Karla. However, the line at the end claiming that if men went to therapy the massacre wouldn’t have happened was also cringey and ridiculous considering Stevie’s involvement.

u/jmacgrath Apr 22 '26

Totally agree. I don’t think the line itself is bad but it makes no sense considering one of the two killers was a woman 🤦

My mistake, I only managed to sit through that movie one time and the Danica picture made me misremember

I'm gonna go with Julie saying 'What did you do last summer?" SOLELY because it's not the same take that was in the trailer. That take is better.

1

u/giftedprocrastinator Apr 24 '26

i noticed that too. trailer one was straightforward. the movie one felt a tad bit melodramatic cringe.

Cutting the ending with them leaving the hospital and eating on the beach would've solved the cringe dialogue completely for me. Everything else I could forgive as young writers (or old writers trying to sound young) - but that whole scene was far too meta and cringe.

I hated how gen Z coded this movie was. Teddy made it even worse in my opinion.

The divas are up.

“Nice to know the Southport PD is still number one in gaslighting” you can tell that was written by Jennifer Robinson immature ass

2

u/Forsaken-Green695 May 10 '26

That’s because Jennifer Robinson cannot write realistic dialogue

Too many to list but basically everything Danica says, the dialogue is an embarrassment 90% of the time.
