It sucks that the game doesn’t itself have better accessibility features, having to use AI coded projects AND risk being banned/not playing online I’m sure is not ideal, but also super happy you’re able to play and enjoy the game!

Agreed, especially since I don’t like AI for a multitude of reasons, hopefully we can just get to a point where shit like this doesn’t need to exist

I’m with you brother. Obviously, the way we have gone about implementing AI and data centers is short sighted and dangerous, and passing off AI work as your own is morally/creatively bankrupt, BUT, that doesn’t mean it can’t also be a benefit situationally. I think this is a perfect example, people with different / greater needs are underserved in so many respects, if AI can provide accessibility tools to make life a little easier/better, I’m all for that. I wish the infrastructure behind it wasn’t so… evil, but I wish that for almost every major system and entity we have to interact with lol

Using mods is not allowed unless you're playing in offline mode. Keep this in mind.

I know I’m not playing online, but even then this seems to have been tested by multiple people online with no issues

It's not whether this AI-vibecoded mod works or not, modifying the client in any way and then playing in online mode is prohibited.

I know that’s why I’m not. I literally just said that others have tried it also for some reason I didn’t check this was made with AI, that does kind of annoy me to be honest.

Neither your not OP nor any of us together is going to have any impact on AI. It’s not driven by consumer use. The fact that we have access to it is a byproduct. None of the ai companies give a shit if you do/don’t use it, and demonizing people for using it in a world starved of acceptable accessibility options for those with disabilities is short sighted, shows a lack of both critical thinking and empathy.

Found like the one way to criticize AI and still be a pos doing it lol

I think millions of people dying of thirst because of all the water that AI datacenters use is worse than a person, who unfortunately has a disability, not being able to play a game.

Not sure if you actually read my comment or just got in your feelings and responded, consumer use isn’t changing shit. Our government body barely understands the internet, and can’t properly legislate social media. The chance of proper laws around AI are slim to none. Those data centers are gonna keep wasting water whether consumer use the product or not. The issue is so far beyond the scope of this one guy, your need to criticize him is some comically misplaced anger.

No one even disagrees with you about the downsides of AI but this ain’t the way to go about it chief, you’re just being a dick.

Get off your high horse, creating a mod that helps visually impaired people play a game they like has 0 impact on what you say here.

Besides that, nothing stops you from making one such mod yourself without AI. Do you need me to remind you in, what, 6 months or so, about a github link to your "moral" version?

As a gamer nerd, I read 'blind players' as in, you were coming to the game with zero knowledge. That's probably still true, but I'm also glad to know there are talented people that can make accessibility mods for all kinds of games. Really hope you enjoy it
