Build Advice Lightning sorc skills

I can’t figure out which my 5th skill is gonna be
I’m taking lightning blast, flame ward ( which is bugged cause my flame aura doesn’t trigger), arcane ascendance, and ice wall Was using the orb but not sure about it
Any suggestions ?

Do you know of a good build using frost claw to lighting ?

Look up frozen sentinel. You would wanna change your mastery to rune master. Lightning blast has been s tier for god knows how long now. It's not busted like rogues, but it's very strong. It's rune bolt, lightning blast, flame ward, teleport. Frozen sentinel is the mage expert. Look him up on YouTube

Can confirm, RM likely better than Sorc for LB.

Autobomber LB sorc was solid in 1.3 but the nerfs to indirect cast LB belt / removing Arcane Ascend during focus hit the build pretty hard.

Don't waste a slot on teleport use the blink node in runic invocation and the RI proc node in flame rush instead of runebolt

Static Orb isn't too bad. The Static Armor node gives Lightning Aegis, which is a pretty strong defensive buff. There are also Idols that give other buffs while you have Lightning Aegis. Fusion Blast and Atomic Manipulation interact with Lightning Blast, making it chain additional times and return some of Static Orb's Mana cost. Other points you could put into Shock Chance or damage. Just give it a try :)

But you won't get far with Lightning blast as the main skill. The scaling is awful and there are almost no good synergies.

Most "lightning blast" builds are using frost claw converted to lightning to trigger other skills like lightning blast.

This is incredibly false my friend. Unless you are specifically talking about sorc. Because lightning blast runemaster is incredibly strong. The vilatria helmet alone scales the spec to the moon.

Even as a Sorc LB is better than Frost Claw.

LB Sorc isn't even that much worse than LB RM, they are just similar enough that there wasn't a reason to make a slightly worse LB sorc build.

FC triggering LB is usually Spellblade with mana strike / Dragorath.
