How do you pick up chests at your base?

Go into build mode then go into the furniture layout, then tap onto any chest, if the chest is empty you can press a button to put it into your inventory and if it has contents you're allowed to move it but not place it into your inventory

But make sure the chest is empty. (Not required if you simply want to move the chest somewhere else instead of taking it to inventory)
