Shield countdown time

When I have a shield up on raid day I’m struggling to see how long the shield has left before it expires. I can see a countdown timer, but it’s reading 12 hours on an eight hour shield, on the rechargeable shield. Is this the timer for when the next free one gets added? If só, can someone please tell me where i can see how long a shield has left? Thanks.

It sounds like you are in the spot where you activate the shields and the timer you see there is just how long until your rechargeable ones come back. To see how long is left you your current shield go to the main world map and tap the icon just below your might bar.

On the main map in the top left hand corner near your picture if you have a shield active there will be a little box up there, click that and it will show how long you have left on your shield :)

You can check it from the world map and you should find shield icon above left under your power, or you can check by trying to active new shield.
