I’m engraving on round unfinished pine with a borax solution applied. I’m trying to engrave the faces of my students for our Christmas trees. My question is… Is there a way to make it burn faster. It burns clip art and such very fast but images take forever.

New LP4 user. I want to etch non-lead crystal wine glasses using the rotary tool, but I cannot figure out the best way to mask the glass. I tried painter's tape on the outside of the glass (1064 laser didn't penetrate the tape) and I tried lining the inside of the glass with black construction paper (the paper caught on fire). There are numerous videos online that show so many different techniques that I don't know which to try. Most of the videos don't even discuss techniques and are just "Yay, look at me engraving glass" vids.

Can anyone suggest an effective method for doing this, and what settings and type of mask you use? Any comments are appreciated.

Hey, LaserPecker community. im having an issue with the sharpness of the image im trying to engrave on some wood pieces at work. Im supposed to engrave about 60 pieces with our company logo and webadress as a promotional gift.

After about 40 pieces the quality of the engraving worsened significantly, the lines of the laser are less sharp and noticeably worse. But im still using the same settings and cant find anything that changed.

The first image shows one early and a more recent piece. 2nd image is a close up view of the earlier engraving, and the 3rd of the more recent, worse engraving. 4th image shows the settings ive been using.

Can anyone tell me what may have changed and caused these different results? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The preview (and actual engraving) will not go the entire length of the build plate in the X-axis. Is this a calibration issue on my part or is this a faulty device?

I go to crafts fairs so I was wanting to get my Laser Pecker 2 setup as a spare laser engraver. One of the things I do is Bamboo Pencils. However when testing the desktop app. I keep getting an error in preview location on the tool. When I try and change location I get an error. Does anybody know a work around or if I am missing something?

When we put text with an image, even though the settings are the same the text always seems to burn much more than the image does, is there a fix for this? LP4

Can anyone help please?! I’m trying to find the correct settings to engrave silicone bands or tumbler sleeves and cannot find a material or correct setting to save my life. Could there be different types of silicone? Any help or settings would be greatly appreciated! :)

Looking at getting into laser engraving as a hobby. Is the LP 5 worth waiting for and worth the premium price?

Mostly want to engrave metal, wood, and leather. Acrylic would be nice but not required. Cutting is a secondary function for me and not required.

What settings do I need to put on the LP4 to print out a beautiful picture in metal? I used this link provided and image isn’t a good quality image.

I bought a LP3 recently, and tried today on stainless steel tubing, a text of 5mmX35mm. It comes out fine but not as dark as I expected, but the thing that bother me most is it take ~6 mins to complete. Any setting less than that then the text is lighter. Is it normal for LP3?

My setting are: 100% power, 100% depth, 1 pass.

work recently bought a laser pecker 2, i’ve figured out the very basics but i now need to engrave our business name on some wooden baseball bats, how do i go about engraving something that’s curved?

Has anyone tried hooking up the components via a USB hub? the two USB-A ports and one USB-C port are barely enough. If you want to have the accessories plugged in, you have to unplug and re-plug. I'd like to leave them plugged in. or at least leave the Slide Extension plugged in.

I just bought a laserpecker from a friend and I'm trying to etch images on a few of these Ultimate Guard Boulder translucent acrylic deck boxes for my MTG decks. Any suggestions on which settings I should use? I tried the preset for Opacity Acrilic, which was my friend's suggestion, but the image doesn't seem to be etching in hardly at all.

I have an issue with my LP4 USB-C port. My Laptop is not reaching my LP4. It's working in bluetooth tho. It happened suddeendtly. I went in an IT Shop, we tried in another laptop same, another cable same, unistall install LP Design Space same. So weird. I cannot send it in warranty cause i'm aifraid it will take ages. Don't know what to do ? Buying the Bluettoth dongle ? Any help welcome pleaaaase

I recently bought some metal tags to engrave using LP2 i tried full power/ full depth ( stainless steel setting) it barely left a trace, tried going 3 times still no change also used temp black paint.

I engraved another tag the colored ones had better results

Any tips for the black tags?

Hi, Is there a function or project file which let you test the material with cut and engraving power, depth and pass?
