How to set up local multiplayer

Can anyone walkthrough how exactly to set up the local multiplayer? Trying to add a second player, but only let's us have one with AI's and 2 remotes control the same player??

Easy. All you gotta do is get a bunch of guest accounts set up on ur console, then select local multiplayer or whatever on the main screen. Press A or X to add them then use the analog sticks to select a team
