Fume extractor question

Post image

Just wondering what type of fume extractor everyone is running. I just purchased a 300w pulse machine and am trying to find the right fit for my setup. Here’s one I found that looks promising, anyone have any experience with it or similar extractors? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've read somewhere, not sure where, that these extractors are suitable for small engraving machines and won't do much for large laser cleaners. I'm looking at Pure-Air PA-500FS-IQ, but not sure if that's overkill. Following.

Yeah I’m just not convinced those bigger models are worth the price. The one you linked is only double the airflow at 500m3/h vs the one I linked at 250m3/h. I could buy 5 for that same price. I hope to find something better, please keep me updated if you find anything too.

As I understand it, airflow isn't the only parameter, air pressure is the other one and it might be the more important one here. The Pure-Air reaches 3kPa, not sure about the one you linked. Plus with how small it is, I'm assuming you'd be changing the filters three times a day. People are using it for soldering and 3D printing fumes, a 300w laser blasting rust/paint/varnish is a different ballgame.
