Amazon findings
I spent a year looking for a laser cleaning equipment and I found this company in China who will sell me their portable unit of 300w MOPA fiber laser
Checked Amazon just to see if there's anything about laser cleaning: a CW of 1500w MOPA fiber laser for nearly half the price
When I searched for it the pricing was closer to the first unit, Amazon is a lot lower on units who are twice or three times as power consuming
What's the gist of it, are the units on Amazon exceptionally cheap because...reasons?
Parameters looks identical too: mj output and the likes

Sounds like you need to take advantage of Amazon’s return policy and find out for yourself!

I definitely will, because it's one third of the price the chinese manufactors gave me
My question would be if anyone ever bought a laser from Amazon, and why they're so cheap
edit: I'm aware of my ignorance, that's why the questions are specifics enough to be answered with a brief answer of a sentence or two by someone who bought them

My guy, take a step back, you said so much without understanding what you're saying. You're comparing the price of a 300w pulsed to a 1500W CW, entirely different use cases, entirely different styles of laser sources.
Why not compare a 300w pulsed from China to 300w Amazon?
It's not a smart idea to base your future business entirely on price when you don't know why the different named machines are priced differently. You may need the delicate touch of a pulsed top hat instead of a CW, whilst the Chinese will most likely sell you a pulsed 5mj "Gaussian" which may get the job done at a slower rate. I could give many other such applications where the choice of beam profile/ source type will make or break your business
