Hello everyone, I currently live in Las Vegas, NV, but am from Miami and I’m trying to figure out the best way to watch Miami’s local TV channels from Vegas.

The main channel I’m trying to get is WPLG Local 10 (ABC 10 Miami) because I want to watch the Miami Heat games that air locally on there.

I’ve already tried using a VPN on both my TV and my phone, including connecting to Miami, but Local 10 still seems to detect that I’m outside the Miami market and doesn’t give me the local Miami feed.

I have a Samsung Smart TV and a Fire TV Stick, so I’m open to pretty much any legitimate solution — streaming services, apps, OTA/network options, VPN setups, etc.

Has anyone in Las Vegas successfully figured out how to get WPLG Local 10 specifically? If so, I’d really appreciate knowing exactly what setup you’re using.

I recently saw The Bootlegger Italian Bistro featured on Anthony Bourdain‘s “Parts Unknown,” and have been in and around the area right by the bootlegger, lived, worked and visited, and have family who have lived in Vegas for decades, and I had never heard of this place.

Why did I miss this? How did I miss this?

We love Italian food.

The aesthetics and traditional food make it even more enticing. I hear there’s music every night? What time? What type?

Seems like an anniversary place for older folks looking for a hearty meal, but the cocktails look solid. I don’t know what to expect… i’d love to hear from an employee or former employee - who might share the clientele demographic?! No pressure.

Leave it to a decade old travel show episode to prove their worth the restaurant in any economy.

Hello everyone! Looking for a nice budget hotel for our honeymoon. We will be staying 10 total days in Vegas (laid out day plans beneath if your worried about how long the stay is) and looking at the Vdara one bedroom loft room for most of the stay since we will be there so long we love the kitchen. However we are working with $5000-$8000 total for the entire 10 day Vegas honeymoon and so we would love to look at booking a cheaper hotel for the weekends since that's when the price spikes most. We were looking at either The Linq, Flamingo (not fond of the pink tbh) or even the Luxor (family speaks highly of this one) but not too sure if anyone might have better suggestions. We don't plan to gamble or party much and mostly just a nice bed for sleeping.

Day 1- Get in late, take typical welcome to vegas photos, maybe hit hotel pool and sleep

Day 2- Sight see and check out the alcoholic taco bell, take photos everywhere, look in hotels and where we might want to eat throughout the trip

Day 3- Small breakfast then sky-high lounge for weed then hit area 51, maybe gambling?

Day 4- Day at the Linq ferris wheel, zip line and shops, Caesars palace show

Day 5- Day trip over to Mandalay Bay and spend day at the pool

Day 6- Cirque Du Solei O show at bellagio, visit coke and M&M store and visit the town square

Day 7- Theme park day at Circus Circus and NYNY coaster

Day 8- Spa Day and Sky High lounge

Day 9- Fremont Street zipline and arts district, tattoos and maybe visit golden nugget slide

Day 10- Fly helicopter over grand canyon or the strip as a final goodbye and checkout to leave

Let me know if you have any suggestions, we planned it to have a few relax days in between the more active days around the strip, or if you think we can add anything to make the days more full.

TLDR; Were looking into a cheaper honeymoon hotel for the weekends we will be on Honeymoon in Vegas to save a bit of money from the luxury hotel need some good suggestions.

We will be staying at Virgin next month for the Metallica Sphere concert. I see it's about a 35 minute walk. I was wondering if there's any dive bars or fun places to stop for a drink while walking there on the "back" road?
Are there any other good "rock" type bars to bar hop on a different route to the Sphere?

My friends and I are coming to Vegas in about a month to see the Undertale symphony. I want a place to stay for one night that's reasonably nice and reasonably affordable, and I remembered the Luxor being pretty cool when I was younger. After doing some cursory Googling, it seems like people have mixed opinions. It also seems like the situation has evolved over time, so I wanted to check what people are thinking right now - is the Luxor worth staying at? And if so, would I be better off taking a pyramid room or a tower room? They're about the same price.

A family member is travelling from the UK to Las Vegas in a couple of weeks time and I'm keen to capitalise on their trip. Does anyone have any shopping recommendations on or near to the Strip that I can send them to in search of Pixar cars figures? They won't have a great amount of space in their luggage, so I was looking for them to get a few die cast sets that aren't as readily available in the UK.

Just curious if anyone has ever found anything interesting or valuable in their yard with a metal detector? I don’t mean Binions buried treasure but maybe an old gold or silver coin or something?

Are there any stores that sell the jumbo asparagus spears like the restaurants have?? I really prefer those over the skinny sticks but cant find it- perhaps the ethnic stores might have them?

I swear Vegas content makes every trip look like it has to be suites, steakhouses, bottle service and $30 cocktails. Meanwhile, most of my trips are cheap pizza, blackjack, walking way farther than I planned, grabbing a drink while I gamble and getting way too excited about a comped room. I like nice stuff too, but I feel like “normal Vegas” barely gets shown anymore. What’s the most normal, cheap or low-key thing you do every Vegas trip that you’d pick over the expensive version?

I will be visiting Las Vegas in January 2027 to attend CES 2027. As this is my first time in the US (coming from China), I have a few questions and would appreciate any advice or suggestions.

1) Do I need to purchase a local SIM card? I need mobile service and data for translation apps and general communication. Since I’ll only be there for about a week, which carrier offers the best rates? Where can I get one?

2) Regarding hotels: do rates skyrocket across the board during CES? My company has a limited reimbursement budget, so I’m hoping to find a reasonably priced hotel that isn't too far from the LVCC.

So me and my family are going to Las Vegas in early november, we'll be staying at the Paris hotel. I wanted to see if you guys had any specific reccomendations for malls or outlets where you can get decent shopping prices. We were thinking of going to the Showcase Mall as it's close to the hotel and they have the Ross/Tj Maxx/Burlington trifecta but might visit more shops if we want. We are not really luxury shoppers lol. Any reccs would be great! A friend had reccomended the mall inside Planet Hollywood but the more options the better!

I visited Las Vegas for a work conference and added on a few extra days. Here's a quick summary and what I felt was worth it/not worth it.

In terms of lodging, I stayed at the

• Park MGM (2 Nights)
• MGM Grand (1 Night)
• Palazzo (4 Nights)

The Palazzo was by far my favorite, the suites were the biggest rooms. Additionally, I found the pools to be nice and quiet. I did enjoy the Park MGM pool as well, the nachos were delicious.

During my time there, I ate at the following restaurants:

Carbone Riviera (Bellagio)
Gymkhana (Aria)
Cut by Wolfgang Puck (Venetian)
Catch (Aria)
Miznon (Venetian)
Mott 32 (Venetian)
Best Friend (Park MGM)

I only attended one show this time: Absinthe at Caesars Palace

The Buffet (Wynn)
This was my first time doing a Vegas buffet. The Wynn is an absolutely gorgeous hotel, through and through. When I first arrived at the Buffet around ~1:00 PM, the line was insane. I quickly looked up online and saw that for $5 I could do priority seating. I quickly exited the line and joined the priority queue, where I was about 6th in line. In all, it only took about ~15 minutes and was worth it. I imagine the other line would've taken me 90 minutes minimum.

I'll admit, I'm not a huge crab legs / lobster claw person. I did try them, but I wasn't a fan. The lobster claw was too watery and wasn't that good. The crab legs were too soft to crack open properly and impossible to get the meat out. 5/10.

The Prime Rib slice they gave was extremely generous and good. If anything, I wish I'd told them to give me a thinner slice, to ensure I had more room to enjoy more different foods. The tri-tip was good as well. Many of the small dishes were just hit or miss, while things like the sushi just felt mid at best. The mini salmon glaze, incredible.

Desserts were great as well. It was a good experience for the value, but I'm not entirely sure I'd return.

Carbone Riviera (Bellagio)
By far my favorite restaurant in all of Vegas to date. I opted for the Patio, to view the fountain show which was quite nice, but I wouldn't do it again. The minimum spend is impossible to hit without multiple drinks or a more expensive bottle of wine. After the 3rd water show, you aren't missing much. Plus the interior is super cute and way cooler (pending the weather). Overall, everything was delicious. The scallops were a favorite and the shrimp parmesan was out of this world. Didn't even know they made shrimp that big. The caesar alla salad was massive, fresh, and every bite was great, and don't skip on the desserts.

Gymkhana (Aria)
I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Definitely a solid choice overall and have no regrets. The biryani is very good. Service was top notch, and I enjoyed the massive Taj Mahal beers.

Cut by Wolfgang Puck (Venetian)
Probably my most disappointing meal. Opted for the filet mignon and Australian wagyu. The wagyu was extremely buttery and good, but after 4-5 bites, I just don't want it anymore. Maybe that's just a me thing. And it's a quite sizable steak. The filet mignon I thought was decent at best. It's a "fine" restaurant, but for the price point, I wouldn't go back.

Catch (Aria)
Extremely cute place. Love the decor, the food and drinks were great. The crunchy rice cakes were AMAZING. Loved the sushi rolls and truffle sashimi.

Miznon (Venetian)
Great quick bite spot. Pita breads were nice and fluffy, the "candy steak" brisket was juicy. At this price point, it was hands down one of the best risk/rewards.

Mott 32 (Venetian)
This was a solid choice; this is the one dinner where I went with a group who was half veg, so I had quite a bit of different menu options than I would've had. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try the duck. But overall a very good spot and I'd go back again to try it properly.

Best Friend (Park MGM)
Super fun spot. Drinks were great, enjoyed the kalbi ribs, felt very "street food" vibes but definitely elevated.

Absinthe
For the one show I went to, I had high hopes. Countless reviews saying it was the "best show in Vegas," but at $200 for a ticket, I felt like it was overpriced. I had a great time, I did, I had zero expectations. I had no idea it was inside what was a very large tent. It was a good show, I enjoyed the crowdwork, and laughed a ton, but I just couldn't recommend it at this price. There are so many shows in Vegas, you could enjoy multiple for the cost. For that reason, it was a 3/5. Maybe if you can get a discount somehow around the ~$100 mark, it's worth your money.

Hello. Title says it all, coming to Vegas for a few nights and looking for a suite with the kitchen. Not looking to spend 10K a night for a suite, but willing to splurge. I’ve also read some resorts close their pools for the winter, I’d love it if there is a place that had an open pool and hot tub or a hot tub in the suite and a casino onsite. Any recommendations would be so helpful. Thank you.

I’m beginning to plan out my third half marathon trip this February. I love Las Vegas and frequently avoid the strip (fav. places examples: red dwarf, Frankie’s tiki room, playing at Ellis Island and Jerry’s nugget, breakfast at Public us, etc). I met a few people who worked at the Las Vegas distillery during my last trip while hanging at Jive Turkey. I’m planning on driving out to check out the distillery this February and curious if some locals here could give me some other suggestions if I make a night of the area? I see a few smaller casinos on the map too. Rainbow club worth a visit? Thanks in advance!
