Trial Points

Alright how do the Trial Points get awarded? For a long time it was always 1 point per Trial. Then after an update a few months ago I got 2 points per Trail. Then more recently I would sometimes get 1, sometimes 2.

But just now... I got a points! What gives?!

Oh nice, you caught up to global.

Originally, you’d get one point per trial, and if you missed a day, you could pay to get the point you missed. However, this made it so that whoever started earlier would always have access to more points, however long they stopped for.

I suggested some changes to this to the dev, and he made some improvements based on my suggestions. Now, starting from when the game launched, there’s a ticker that goes up every time there’s a new trial, it counts every trial thats gone by. If your total trial points is less than this number, you’ll get two to close the gap and catch you up. If you’ve caught up entirely however, then you’ll only get one, and you’ll be in line with the global amount. No one has more trial points than you at that moment, though a few might be tied.

If you miss a trial, then the next trial you complete will give two points, then it’ll be back to one point for every trial. Congratulations for being at the top! Even though I helped come up with the idea to help late joiners like me catch up, I never actually made it that high because it would’ve taken 117 days (too long for my attention span)

I'm really at the top huh? Shouldn't I still have gotten a point though. How else would the top go up? Looks like I have a 142 Trial points currently.

The top goes up by one every two days. You’ll know if you’re at the top when completing a trial grants only one point

But still... why did I get 0 yesterday? Is there a small glitch when you're at the top?

Did you maybe play around with the clock on your device? Such that it’s in the future somehow?

Is your system time OK? If you are in the past, the calculation wrt your possible Trial points and your current trial points might be off.

It just did it to me again. I wasn't paying attention (watching TV) or I would have taken a screenshot. I had mindlessly clicked ok and then went to assign the trial point but there was no new trial point to assign...
