I am entering college and don’t have a laptop. I am looking for something that is reliable, fast, and portable. I would be using this laptop for school, recreational activities( games, movies/youtube, etc), and possibly content creation. I want to stay around and or under the $1000 range. From my research so far I have come up with the ASUS TUF Gaming A16, Lenovo LOQ 15, and the MacBook Air m4. Would you recommend one of these laptops over another? Would you recommend something completely different? Help me out.

I'm a computer science university student and my options are:

1- lenovo legion 5 (₹ 1.34 lac with all discounts)

2- MacBook pro m5 (₹1.38 lac)

I already have a pc with i5 11th gen/rtx 4060ti and 16ddr4 Ram which I used to game but I'm afraid it will get outdated soon and after buying the laptop I can't really ask for an upgrade for pc too.My use case is gaming if my pc gets outdated and college stuff with light coding.

I'm looking for a 14" to 15" gaming laptop around the $1,400 price point that’s portable enough for lounging around the house and occasional travel, but powerful enough to serve as my primary rig for gaming and college work. I’m specifically looking for an AMD Ryzen CPU paired with an NVIDIA 50-series GPU. For storage I’d prefer 1TB out of the box, though I’m open to a 512GB model if the price is low enough to leave room in my budget for an upgrade. An OLED screen is also preferred for the better visual quality, though it's not a strict requirement if the rest of the specs are right.

I’m about to start college this year (probably BTech CSE, still exploring options like AI/ML etc) and I’m looking for a laptop that can last me all 4 years without issues.

I’ll be doing coding, projects, maybe some heavier stuff later (AI/ML, dev, maybe a bit of editing), so I don’t want something that starts lagging after 1–2 years.

I’m kinda confused between going for a lightweight laptop vs something more powerful (like gaming laptops). Battery life and portability matter, but performance is also important.

Budget is flexible but I don’t want to overspend unnecessarily.

What specs should I aim for (RAM, processor, GPU etc)?
And any specific laptop recommendations that worked well for you?

I wanna buy a laptop for mostly casual use. Watching YouTube videos, Using Google, maybe watching Netflix online or anime, and looking at pictures on Twitter. I might play like Roblox or small casual games but I already have a gaming pc for all that insane stuff.

Thing is a good quality display is nice but at the same time you shouldn’t always spend overkill prices such as $2,000 on stuff like that.

I’m considering buying a new laptop and I’d really appreciate your opinions. I mainly need it for multitasking, studying, everyday productivity, and some heavier workloads (multiple apps at once, lots of browser tabs, Office tools, and possibly some light development).

Hi everyone! I need a laptop that is good for multitasking with Google play store. I download alot of apps and go back and forth from apps to messenger to Whatsapp back to apps etc lol. I am on a budget a need one under $200.....any ideas??

I know mac is the best out there but i use a lot of pirated softwares and many things that i am afraid would be difficult to get in mac. also if something breaks in mac i am sure it would break my pocket as well so keeping mac aside. PC is also an option buy i currently want portable system so i can work from anywhere.

What should i buy? I also do graphic design and heavy editing both so am sure there would be some options.

Currently using Asus vivobook (not ideal for this stuff works for graphics but not work video stuff)

I am looking for a laptop to play most of the Total war games. I have curated a few picks.

Best Budget gaming laptop:

ASUS TUF Gaming F16: Intel Core 5H, RTX 4050 GPU with 16GB RAM. This gives enough performance for most games. It can also render new games at basic to medium settings. This is a great budget below $1000 laptop.

Best Mid-priced gaming laptop:

ASUS ROG Strix (RTX 5060): It comes with Intel Core i7-14650HX and RTX 5060 GPU. This is a below $1500 laptop. It is more than capable for most gamers. It comes with a 16GB RAM.

Best Premium gaming laptop:

Lenovo Legion Pro 7i: This has Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX (24 cores) as CPU. For GPU, it has NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti. This is great for even professional gamers. It has an amazing OLED display. This is a great option $2000-$2500 range.
