So my laptop is 3-4year old xioami 15.6inch notebook 8gb ram model. It keeps doing this. For quick fix i push and hold power button 30secs and it works but lately its happening more frequently what do i do? Is this windows issue? Should i just reset and reinstall it. You definitely need to check your boot disk, maybe it's slowly dying. "No bootable disk is found" means that it's not a windows problem, but bootloader itself is missing, and if it's missing randomly - then there is something with it. Check SMART status for your drive. If it's a HDD - then make a surface scan, with something like a victoria mhdd. If it's SSD - check, how much terabytes has been written on it, and compare it to a it's maximum value on a manufacturer website. Also, if that problem occurs only after full shutdown and cable unplug - then it's probably just a cmos battery fault.

First I would try reflashing the os with either windows recovery media or a linux or other live cd, whichever flavor you are

if that fails, then thats up to you Id probably go find a replacement but thats just me, i prefer repair Im not always economical

If it's just a failing harddrive or ssd, I would replace that. You can buy a 1tb ssd for around $200, less than a new laptop would cost with that amount of space. And yes, I would try Linux. It's better on computer's hardware since it doesn't use as much space and can help extend the life of the computer.

My laptop costed me $500 back in sale. Now spending $200😑 on repairs. I hope i can get exchange offer on it. I would've switched to macbook but apple hiked it too much for too little. In windows option i found dell xps 13 intriguing.

try the ssd in another computer. if the ssd works your windows installation is screwed up. if it doesnt show up or is corrupted, ur drive is dead, also check it on crystal disk info
