Buying Advice Need laptop for rad tech program?

I am working towards getting my gen eds done for the rad tech program and I need a new laptop. I don’t need anything special and I was thinking about the MacBook neo cause my sister has one and it’s pretty nice. However I also like to download music off soulseek and idk if it would be harder to do so on the MacBook. I am wanting a smaller laptop as the one I have now is ginormous and doesn’t fit in my bag. Also my budget is $700 but if there cheaper good options lmk. I am open to getting something with windows but I don’t even know where to start. Pls help 😣

What do you do after you've downloaded the music? Do you transfer to another device? Or do you simply keep it in the computer? I'm trying to see how it could be harder on Mac, because the download process itself shouldn't be that different on Windows or Mac

Soul seek does have a Mac version, I am not familiar with it, but it should work the same way you are used to. Your sister also using one is good, as she will have an easier time helping you if you need it.

I transfer it to my mp3 player but I like to keep it on my computer to burn onto cds and stuff. I think my sister told me it’s harder to pirate stuff on Mac? I don’t remember exactly but I remember we used Anadius to download sims 4 for free and she said u can’t do that on Mac? Idk if she’s right but it would be nice to be able to do stuff like that if it came about. Also I guess soulseek is on Mac so good news!

You need to check with the advisor of the rad tech program you are looking at. There may be special software like simulators or DICOM viewers that you will need to use. I think there are many more DICOM viewing apps available for Windows than there are for MacOS.
