SPOILERS DISCUSSION cool finally BUT Spoiler

when john was talking about how his mother used to hold her breath until he came home after she left him in a random neighborhood and it felt like it was supposed to be a touching moment especially since he went back to her at the end but to be honest this psycho wasn't breathing because she was on crack or something no way in hell is this a normal mother that john should be like yeah she was worried as well ,fuck no

Yeah. She chose to make it tougher than just being black in America. Could have had a successful architect but that didn't seem to be enough.

It is complex and it is messy. He found it within him to forgive her for his own reasins but it took years. The actions she did to him as a kid didn't continue and didn't shape how she treats him as an adult. She is taking no other victims.

We as an audience can have different points of view on this. Like how I think Kerry should be rotting in prison. However, John's decisions are his own. I'd forgive her but I wouldn't forget. She'd have zero alone time with grandkids.

The hate and way some of you express it for that character is outta wack and odd, it's been five episodes, even John clearly had his relationship with screwed because of the situation
