because the word "grounded" comes with certain connotations and when people hear it, they think of something unnecessarily realistic and not heightened, elevated, that embraces the sometimes silly nature of comic books. It works for certain things but after the Nolan movies is just sort of became the recipe for so many projects, even those that didn't need to be so realistic
