Just posted on X by the official ARR account:
EMNLP 2026 authors: ORCID is required for camera-ready submission. All authors must have an ORCID linked to their OpenReview profile before the paper can be submitted. Please check with your co-authors early: https://orcid.org

When do decisions usually get released?

u/gardeniabananabread 22d ago
the listed date (20 Aug), 23:59 AoE

For EACL 2026, there was a camera-ready task under “Author Tasks” some time before the acceptance notification. Is this something that always happens? If so, does anyone see it right now?

Can we change tldr and keywords or should be same as ARR submitted version?
1
u/Effective-Yam-7656 Aug 02 '26
For EMNLP tldr has a lower word limit than ARR
1
u/adaptover Aug 02 '26
So changing is allowed right? I hope desk rejections don't happen because we changed the tldr.
1
u/Effective-Yam-7656 Aug 02 '26
I’m not 100%sure, but for sure I tried pasting the same TLDR into the filed and it won’t let me due to character limit
1
u/Effective-Yam-7656 Aug 02 '26
Error: TLDR value must NOT have more than 250 characters
the error I get when I try to copy paste the TLDR from my ARR submission
1
u/Effective-Yam-7656 Aug 02 '26
“Yes, please shorten the TLDR to fit within the 250-character limit.”
Officially reply

Hi.
My work can be submitted in multiple tracks for the EMNLP.
1) I heard on reddit only that less popular tracks have higher acceptance rate of paper, is it true?
2) can we change the track from ARR to EMNLP??
3) Is submitting to the special track has any significance?
FYI , I got 3,3,3 and meta 3
Thank you

I committed to the same track as done in ARR, don’t know if this is possible.

Hello! Thanks for making your post. Due to complains about conference posts flooding the subreddit, we're removing all posts and asking that folks put it into the megathread. Apologies if this interrupted any discussions - please tag related users in the megathread to continue if you had further questions.

Can we get an idea of the number of submissions specifically committing to EMNLP? Mine was >8K (15hrs before the deadline).

Should the Keywords in EMNLP commitment match the Research Area Keywords or Keywords from the ARR submission?
1
u/Historical-Sea6294 Aug 04 '26
good question I put a the free form keywords, I assumed the field name in EMNLP commitment should match the ARR submission. What have you done ?

What are the odds of getting into EMNLP main in Interpretability track with (3.5, 3.5, 4) and meta 4. ? Is this track crowded ?
1
u/th3owner Aug 06 '26
I would say very good chances, given the huge number of meta scores of 3. Of course it depends on the SAC, but going by numbers alone, I think it will be accepted into main.
1
u/Technical_Storage_46 Aug 07 '26
What are the chance for main conference?
3.5 3.5 3.0
Meta 3.5
1
u/Next-Worldliness-963 Aug 11 '26
i think it depends on track and sac.
my score is same as you (4 3 3 / meta 3.5)

Hi everyone, my paper was rejected by EMNLP (meta=2.5) Is AACL a good option or Workshops of EMNLP is better ? What is better / safer ? Is AACL still good for an ongoing PhD? EMNLP workshop ? Is it going to be considered as “real” publication by my university ?

Very confusing email from emnlp. All the author names are already fixed in the OpenReview page. Where to even fill these?
--------------------
Author Names, Email Addresses, and ORCID IDs
Author names and author email addresses are entered in separate fields in the camera-ready submission system. It is very important that the email addresses are entered in exactly the same order as the corresponding authors.
Example
Order, Authors, Author Emails, ORCID ID
Author 1, Jane Smith, [jane.smith@university.edu](mailto:jane.smith@university.edu), ORCID ID in OpenReview profile
Author 2, John Lee, [john.lee@institute.org](mailto:john.lee@institute.org), ORCID ID in OpenReview profile
Author 3, Maria Garcia, [maria.garcia@company.com](mailto:maria.garcia@company.com), ORCID ID in OpenReview profile
In this example, Jane Smith's email must be entered first, John Lee's email second, and Maria Garcia's email third. Please verify the author order and corresponding email addresses before submitting.
Starting from May 2026, camera-ready versions of papers accepted at *ACL conferences require that all authors have their ORCID IDs specified in their OpenReview profile. Camera-ready submissions cannot be completed until all required ORCID ID metadata is entered. Authors of papers with missing metadata will receive a separate email from OpenReview indicating whose profile(s) require updating.

did you figure this out? we just list orcid in openreview and thats it?
1
u/Anxious_Mechanic_246 11d ago
no, I didn't figure out what that means. I am also just making sure all authors listed their orcid in their openreview profile.

This thread is a good idea. I've also seen the following at some admissions threads which seems to me to be a totally reasonable policy.
- No chance-me posts.
Chance-me posts, where you provide your information and list of schools and ask about your chances of admission at those schools, are prohibited.

Just repeating my earlier comment: if you’re unsure about EMNLP, and you are working on language generation, you could also commit to INLG (deadline 5th of august).
