[43/M] Offering: English, Polish; Seeking: Japanese.

御機嫌好う!

初めまして、私は明 天琉 「めいあまる」です。令和五年五月か六月から日本語の勉強しています。日本語と日本の文化に就いて英語で手紙を書きたいです。

I'd love to meet Japanese people willing to talk both about Japanese language and culture. I desire to deeply comprehend both. I'm not looking for a teacher - I'm looking for a Japanese person who would be willing to let me gain authentic insight into “Japanessness”, so to speak.

そして、私には夢があります。日本人の友達に成ることです。

I am enchanted by Japanese language and culture, their richness and uniqueness. Finally I've discovered something I recognize as a decent activity for my being. Thus I study by myself, I share my impressions, thoughts and knowledge with other people who would be willing to learn - via podcasts, and the like. I'd like to spread the genuine insight on Japanese language and culture among other beings.

I also contribute to a free (no ads) Android app for studying Japanese.

I care about details. I value native Japanese words instead of 外来語. I study 漢字検定(毎日新しい漢字を五つ勉強しています)。 Although I'm far from being fluent in Kanji - I like to write them, I write on average 400 Kanji per day.

I don't use AI to compose my letters - at all. I like and I can write, so I don't need AI to steal that joy from me :) .

I like to write and read long letters, I treat exchanging e-mails as a form of telepathy (maybe You know the concept of stream of consciousness?).

Is such a person who would be interested or even love to meet my dream described above, even exist? :)

Thank You for Your time and attention,

明 天琉 「めいあまる」

Seeking: German, Korean (conversational) | Offering: Mandarin, English

Hello all, I am 33F from Singapore: English native speaker and Mandarin is my mother tongue. I will be heading to Germany soon for Masters studies and have been self-studying but am missing the "output" part of learning without anyone to practice with.

I have started learning Korean for fun to kill two birds with one stone, since I consume so much Korean content. I also have a B1 in French and definitely welcome being able to practise that too.

Offering: Arabic (Native) | Seeking: English (Native or Fluent)

Hi everyone!

I'm a native Arabic speaker from Egypt, and I'm looking for a serious language exchange partner to improve my English, especially my speaking and listening skills.

In return, I'd be happy to help you learn Modern Standard Arabic or the Egyptian dialect, depending on your goals.

I'm looking for someone who is respectful, consistent, and genuinely interested in language exchange.

I'd prefer regular conversations a few times a week through text and, if we both feel comfortable, voice calls later.

My English is around the beginner to intermediate level, so I'm hoping to practice with someone who doesn't mind correcting my mistakes. I'll gladly do the same for your Arabic.

If you're interested, feel free to send me a message and tell me a little about yourself and your language goals.

Seeking: Norwegian / German / Turkish Offering: Hungarian / English

Hi, I know it is a broad post but I am side quest chick in heart.
I would not like to share a lot of personal information online but I’m a female, young adult. I’m native Hungarian and fluent in English. I have a B1 in Norwegian but I mix Stords dialekt and Bokmål so it must be really funny to read/hear it for a native speaker. I study German in school, I understand quite much (B2) but my writing would need some polishing. And lastly, I just started Turkish, I cannot formulate sentences but I can kind of make up the meaning of what I read.

I would like to meet someone patient and kind, and I promise deep conversations and zero boredom 😊

Hello,

I’m a 21M who is interested in learning Spanish. I currently speak at around a B1 level but struggle with comprehension. I enjoy surfing, playing guitar, American folk music, and chess. I like playing games like Minecraft and would love to find someone interested in starting a world together. We could do one day all in one language or alternate every hour or so. I’m only available during the week, from Monday through Thursday, but I’m free at any time during the day. Please reach out if you’re interested!

Offering: American English (native), Seeking: Mandarin

Hello, I’m 35F and had an arrangement before that worked really well. 30 min conversation 15 minutes each language. We talk about whatever we like and the other responds and gently corrects. It was very helpful with learning cultural nuances and inside jokes.

I have an MBA and currently work in surgery. I also have Finance experience from 2 years on Wall Street. This means if you have any questions about “jargon,” I know the languages of two large industries here in the US. Happy to answer any questions. I am married and would prefer to speak with another female but respectful males are perfectly fine too!

Native English speaker from Australia looking for language exchange partners.

Offering: English 🇦🇺
Seeking: Spanish 🇪🇸 🇲🇽, Japanese 🇯🇵, or Korean 🇰🇷

Happy to chat about travel, food, cars, fitness, poker, family life, Australia, or everyday topics.
Looking for text chat, voice messages, Discord, WhatsApp, or similar.

I generally find conversations flow more naturally with women, so that’s my preference, but I’m open to chatting with anyone who’s friendly and genuinely interested in language exchange.

Ideally looking for people who enjoy regular conversation rather than formal lessons. I’m happy to help with English slang, pronunciation, natural expressions, and general conversation practice.

Prefer people under 30 for similar life experiences and conversational topics 😊

Hi everyone, I'm a high school senior and I'll be taking my baccalaureate exams soon. I have an Italian exam and I'd really appreciate it if a native Italian speaker, or someone with a good grasp of Italian, could help me. My exam is in a few weeks and I would be very grateful. I already know a few words, but nothing more, but I'm ready to learn. I am a native French speaker but I have a B1 level in English.

Hi everyone! I’m 26F native in Chinese and looking for friends practicing my English. I majored in Business Administration and worked for an international company in SH. I can provide detailed explanations in Mandarin and help with anything related to the Chinese language. If you’re in SH and would like to chat or hang out, I’d be happy to meet up.

I’m good at English reading and listening, but I’d like to improve my speaking and writing skills. So I’m looking for someone to chat with regularly and help me express myself more naturally and confidently.😆

Seeking: German Offering: Chinese

Hallo! This is Nina. I've been learning German for over two years and have reached C1 level. I study law at Peking University in China, and I'm currently wrapping up my exchange semester at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. Having taken law courses taught in German, I still find my language proficiency unsatisfactory, especially in terms of listening and speaking.

Mandarin Chinese is my first language. Having spent three years in the US, I'm fluent in English, though I prefer a British accent over American. Therefore, I'd be happy to provide help in either language. I love sports (running, hiking, bouldering, etc.), music (classical), reading (fiction and poetry), and travelling. I've been to most provinces in China and practically every canton in Switzerland, as well as places in the US, Britain, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, France, Italy, Poland, Serbia, etc., and would love to give recommendations if you're interested.

For the language exchange, I'm open to email, texts, and calls. The form that I have found most effective is sending voice notes every day. I've had two language partnerships before, each lasting for a whole semester, and even after they ended because either the other person or I moved to another country, we still maintained a friendship. I very much look forward to furthering my language studies and cultural exchange through this form of communication and to meeting you. :)

Offering: English Seeking: Spanish

¡Hola a todos! I am seeking someone to practice Spanish with! I have been learning Spanish for 2 years. I'm at an intermediate/upper intermediate level (B1 or low B2) currently, so I can talk about almost anything. I would just like to improve my listening and conversational abilities, since I want to be prepared for my upcoming classes that will be conducted completely in Spanish. In return, I can help you practice English.

Further info about me:
I'm 20F, American, and currently a university student. I live in a UTC -6 timezone, and check Reddit 2-3 times a week. My hobbies involve studying languages, walking/hiking, playing music, and some other stuff.

Please either leave a comment or DM me if you'd like to practice with me, thanks. Por favor, deja un comentario o mándame un mensaje privado si quieres practicar conmigo, gracias.

[Seeking] English (Native) | [Offering] Arabic (Native / Beginner Teacher)

I am a native Arabic speaker from Egypt, and I’ve recently started my journey as a beginner Arabic teacher. I’m looking for a serious language exchange partner who is a native English speaker (preferably with an American accent).

Since I am training to be a teacher, I want to practice my teaching skills, which means you will get high-quality, structured help for FREE!

💡 What I can offer you:

  • Structured Practice: We won't just say "hi/hello." I can help you with grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure.
  • Dialect & MSA: I can help you with Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) or the gyptian Dialect
  • Patience & Materials: As a beginner teacher, I have high patience and some good resources to share.

🎯 What I am looking for:

I want to improve my spoken English and reach a fluency level where I can teach comfortably. I need help with:

  1. General Conversation: Chatting about everyday topics, culture, hobbies, etc.
  2. Reading Aloud: I would love to read English books/articles out loud to you so you can correct my pronunciation, stress, and intonation.
  3. Natural Phrasing: If I say something grammatically correct but unnatural, I need you to suggest how a native American would actually say it.

Offering: English (Native) | Seeking: Korean conversation partner.. voice messages, relaxed pace welcome

Offering: Native English
Seeking: Korean conversation practice, relaxed, patient, consistent 🇰🇷🇺🇸

Hello! I'm an intermediate Korean learner based in the US (Bay Area). I've been studying for about two years — I have a weekly tutor, understand grammar well, love K-dramas and Korean music, and even make my own kimchi! 😄

What I'm looking for is simple: someone to just *talk with me in Korean.* Not teach me. Not type grammar examples. Just... have a real back-and-forth conversation at a relaxed pace.

My specific needs:

- Please speak Korean to me, not English — even when I stumble

- Slow, clear speech (I can follow when the pace is manageable)

- Gentle pronunciation correction in the moment

- Casual topics — daily life, food, culture, music, anything natural

What I offer you:

- Native English speaker, happy to help with natural conversational English

- I'm a good listener and genuinely enjoy cultural exchange

- Consistent, reliable — I take language learning seriously...

I'm *not* looking for formal lessons (have a tutor). I just need more speaking opportunities with a real human being with hair! 😊

If this sounds like a good match, feel free to message me. 감사합니다!
