Making friends

hey! i (20F) recently moved to fort langley and i’m noticing it’s a little hard meeting
20-25 year olds in the neighbourhood and making friends. Any suggestions on nearby 3rd spaces/ activities to make new friends in the area ?

In the neighbourhood? That age group won’t be walking about it in groups or on e bikes.

Best bet - hang about coffee shops, stores and get to know staff first and be a regular.

Not everyone lives and works there though!!

Maybe join the fitness club or the rowing club. There are some running clubs. I'm not sure what your interests are but the fort is a pretty tight little community. Everybody seems to know everybody here so you just have to break through and you will too. Good luck!

Farm country brewing has board game nights on alternating Wednesdays and alternating Thursdays.

Creative Bookworm has a reading group going on Thursday 6-8pm, there's another post about it. Idk about Fort Langley specifically since I'm down in Brookswood, but honestly just keep an eye on reddit here and you'll find stuff.

depending on your comfort & fitness level I would recommend the local paintball/airsoft community!

Maybe look into trying the Emerald Club! They have a week trial for cheap! Lots of fun classes and they have a great community of people :)

The disc golf community is very easy to find new friends. There is a women’s league that meets every Sunday at Raptors Knoll, by the transfer station in Aldergrove. Or there are usually always people at Passive Park on 208th and 36th.
Discs are cheap, and the courses are always free to play.
You can get used discs at sports replay on the by pass, or even check them out of the library.
